This is a lovely pub in a beautiful village location. The staff were very pleasant, helpful and cheerful. Our room was perfectly adequate for our stay and quiet too. Very comfy bed. Breakfast very good. Definitely would stay again.

The shower wasn't very powerful.

"Okay, but it needs a bit of improvement"

6.0

Warm welcome, staff were lovely and nice meal and atmosphere. The beds were comfortable.

The rooms were tired and not as pictured. No headboards, curtains falling down and daylight as soon as the suns up, curtains or blinds in the bathroom would be so much better than net curtains, especially when your using the room and there are houses opposite so we could not use the light at night!

"Charming pub stay with lovely food."

6.0

The Carew arms is a charming, old style pub serving great food with lots of character and friendly staff It is just down the road from a wedding venue, where we were attending a wedding so a perfect location. It's also a brilliant location for exploring the quantocks.

The room was comfy, but the bathroom was a little tired and the shower was either scalding hot or freezing cold. Sadly it was pretty noisy until the early hours. Although, I appreciate this is a pub, and there will be lots of noise whilst it is open, there was lots of banging and someone dropping a beer barrel in the early hours, and some rather rowdy guests returning to their rooms in the early hours. I know this isn't all within their control so can only speak for the Sunday evening on which we stayed.

The location and parking

Very uncomfortable with springs pushing through the sheet When we booked we were told for breakfast would be 10 pounds but on the day we were only given a general menu and breakfast was quite a lot more
