Een authentieke engelse inn waar de lokale mensen hun biertje komen drinken, dat geeft een bijzonder gezellige sfeer. Veel couleur locale. Het eten is boerenkost, eerlijk en niet duur.

Het ontbijt is karig. Als 2 toastjes de norm is, zet dan toch een mand met brood op het buffet. Ontbijtruimte onverwarmd.

Breakfast was lovely good size portion . The room was very nice seamed like it had been newly decorated.

The pub had no carpark and only a few spaces on the road where you could park.Wehad to leave our big van out on the main narrow road over night.

The pub is in a beautiful location. The locals were very friendly. The pub was very quirky, with a well inside it. Beds were comfortable. Room nicely decorated. Lovely old stone walls kept.

Only given 1 toilet roll for 2 night stay for 2 people. Nowhere to hang clothes up in our twin room. Cobwebs all around the smoke detector and the tv. Remote control for the tv absolutely disgustingly filthy. No chocolate as advertised would be in the room. The food….. breakfast greasy & tasted awful. Cheap streaky bacon, grease soaked mushrooms, burnt friend eggs. Not asked if everything was ok, went to chat to landlord after he’d cooked our breakfast & we’d finished eating to ask for loo rolls & he’d disappeared, not even waited for us to finish our breakfast. Fruit on offer was 3 apples on the side. Toilet brush in bathroom was broken, lid of it just chucked on the floor… such a cheap thing to fix. We hoped to have dinner both nights at the pub…. after the first night we didn’t go back…. burger bun was rock hard, burger was cold, slimy gherkin, onion rings super greasy & freezing cold, halloumi fries were super greasy too. Sandwich … very dry bread. Only decent thing was chocolate chip ice cream & the chips (surprisingly they weren’t greasy). Such a shame as it could be a little goldmine The Bell Inn. Locals commented how it’s gone downhill. We expected to be kept awake when we saw our room was above the pub…. but the pub was empty by 8:30pm. Such a shame as Landlord had been so welcoming when we arrived.

Cozy, country, welcoming and friendly staff. And the locals were so lovely and chatty too.

Small attention to detail in the Rooms… dust.. toilet brush…

Comfortable room, very enjoyable breakfast, excellent evening meal
