"Very disappointing for my birthday.."

3.0

Location, pretty duck pond close by..

Dangerous tilting window which was rotten & had no catch so just pushed open!, lots of dust in bedroom, noisy below room from the bar & courtyard, poor quality food, no daily housekeeping service so we were left with wet towels & minimal amount of toilet paper, the dining area in the bar was filthy with carpet held together with blue duct tape, entrance to bedrooms was via the back yard of the pub, up an outside metal fire escape. No car parking facility.

"Ducklington is an amazing little village but would book elsewhere in the future for better sleep."

5.0

Location, the rustic vibe and smart tv.

Noise by pub goers and shouting outside, dusty and dirty room, noisy hot water tank. All adds to broken sleep or disturbed rest.

"Nice little village pub but not for b & b"

6.0

The location was good to visit Jeremy Clarkson's pub and the bell Inn was a pleasant little village pub with a lovely atmosphere and friendly staff and regulars.

Our room was a little small, dated and dirty in places. The shower area could do with a revamp & water not draining away from the shower. The radiators wasn't coming on and the little heater that was in the room had a very small cable on and so did the kettle. The kettle only just managed to reach the plug socket. Unable to close the bathroom window properly

"Cosy little stay"

8.0

It is a charming little place outside a cute little town. All of the staff were lovely, the rooms were a good size and the beds were very comfortable.

The water pressure in the shower was very very weak

"Great village inn"

10.0

Great old village inn, room clean and warm. On arrival food service had just finished but he reopend the kitchen and cooked 3 Sunday roast for us exceptional service. Locals very friendly made us feel very welcome. As for the reviews regarding the metal stairs they were no problem we are in our 60's and howelse do you get upstairs. Will be staying there again.

Nothing as everything perfect

"A great discovery!"

8.0

Breakfast was tasty, the room was comfortable and nicely decorated. The evening meal was good, with a choice of pub favourites. My dog was welcome without an extra charge. The pub is in an attractive village with great walks. I thought it was excellent value for money

Dogs are not allowed in the restaurant so I ate in the bar which was fine, but a bit tricky for a solo traveller to access the breakfast cereals etc!

"Exceeded expectation and certainly a good hideaway if you want to avoid the usual multiple hotels. A"

8.0

Arrived early evening to find a few locals who were welcoming as was Linda who booked us in and showed us to our rooms so she could explain the set up. We ate at the pub. Food was tasty and well priced. Bonus points because we were told there would be a pub game that evening and we welcome to watch the pub teams warming up pre season. The game was a local skittles type affair called Aunt Sally. Enjoyable to watch and team members were happy to chat.

Unfortunately, a mercerstor (toilet machine) was being triggered every 5 minutes but didn’t disturb my sleep overly. Mentioned it to the staff next morning and they going to sort it.
