The Bell Inn

I had a comfortable bed. Nice breakfast although not very well presented.

Very basic room above the bar. 2 3 pin sockets hidden behind chest of drawers which were very difficult to use. No storage. Live music right below my room which was very loud and continued until 12.15am. At breakfast, the table was so wobbly, it was impossible not to spill drinks. No car park and I had to park down the road and round the corner. The property was advertised as being thatched, but wasn't. Not a good atmosphere.

The manager Andy and his staff are fabulous hosts. There is nothing too much trouble. Breakfast very nice. Lovely quaint country pub. Rooms clean and modern.

Nothing to dislike.

Parking can be difficult but nothing much they can do

I had the best sausage since I moved to England 20 years ago, everything was very tasty, also the pub was located in a lovely village not far from The Farmers dog where we had a reservation..We also went siteseeing in the local area and had a day out in Oxford which is about half an hour from there. All in all a very good experience.

Great atmosphere, not pretentious just authentic and welcoming.

The pub could do with a bit of tlc, but we didn't pay alot and it met our needs.

We liked the village location, the staff were really friendly and helpful. Lots of character and history with the Bell Inn, the well in the bar being a bit of a focal point. Food was really good too and the rooms were nice and clean.

You have to appreciate that you are staying in a pub and to expect a little noise in your room if you go up early. The noise settles as the pub empties out. It didn't bother us too much but others may not like it. We would have liked somewhere to hang clothes.

Breakfast first day good. Location good.

Breakfast greedy second day. No hanging space for clothes in the room. Wood rot on frame window and worried when opening it.

Nice large bar area. very friendly locals. Comfy bed.

Rooms okay, but small. Overpriced for type of accommodation.
