Hampton Inn Louisville-Airport

There was only one working elevator and half the time that didn’t work. We were told by the front desk that you just have to keep hitting the button and eventually it will light up and come to the floor you were on. This morning when we were leaving to check out we were stuck on our floor. Floor 3. Pressing the button multiple times and the elevator never came. So we took the stairs with all our luggage and signs everywhere saying do not enter because of wet paint. We had no choice but to enter since there was no working elevator. We walked all three flights of stairs with children and luggage overflowing from our arms because we were already packed up and left the keys in the room. Making it inconvenient to even go back in. This also made us late to the tumbling competition in town that we were in Louisville for. Very frustrating. We also never had the cleaning crew in our room to grab trash. We had to set it outside the door hoping they would come grab it.

Customer service was excellent. The breakfast area was clean and good breakfast!!

It was a perfect choice for a few days in Louisville. The room was modern, had all the amenities and the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. Hallways were quiet. Very good breakfast with lots of choices. For the price there were a couple things that could have been nicer. The front of the hotel had a huge "pot" of cigarette butts which looked disgusting. Other that and an initial issue with the elevator, the room was wonderful.

Great place to stay. Breakfast was plentiful and good. Lots of options. Quiet and the staff was very friendly.

This is a good place to stay—very comfortable and clean. Breakfast could have been better. It was all spread out all over the place due to construction. I was disappointed and a little upset that I was only here to be near my terminally ill brother and the social worker gave me a list of hotels with lower rates for those having to stay close to a loved one. The front desk person told me they were “almost sold out” so they wouldn’t honor it. I was really in shock—like, you’ll only honor it if no one needs it? Don’t say you are going to help people in their time of grief and then be like—nope, we want the money! It’s not attractive and it’s a terrible policy.

The employees here are so friendly and helpful. Chrissy at the front counter is such a sweet person.

I was just very surprised. The property is under major construction and I was not told this ahead of time. It was so clustered down in the breakfast area and there were construction workers working while trying to walk through and they gave zero care that there were paying customers needing to get through. Early morning and when people are trying to check out on a Saturday is probably not an ok time to have a large crew working out in that area.
