Room felt dirty and full of smoke

BEWARE!!!!! We reserved a room, had to modify the reservation as we were not going to make the first night and only the second night, we called booking.com and they said they called the property 4 times and emailed and couldn't get ahold of anyone. We went to check in for the second night of our stay and the gentleman behind the desk said they were completely booked and stated they had no rooms available and our reservation was cancelled. We ended up at a crappy hotel that night. We were charged for the full stay. We have been trying to get a refund for 3 weeks now and keep getting the run around. Very poor customer service. Finally have an answer and the Assistant General Manager said that a person came in showed ID of the name on the reservation and signed the checked in slip and the credit card was ran for the stay. I said who ever that was it was fraud as we were not even in that state the night of the originally check in date. Can we please get a copy of that check in slip and were told we would need to have it subpoenaed. WTAF! This is a scam on the hotel industries and I think it is technically fraud! Will never stay at a Holiday Inn again or use booking.com

I like the stuff the location the safety of the property the room I will stay at this hotel every time I come to Washington DC

Coffee station with a little small but other than that the hotel is great

Daytime staff, breakfast ok, rooms ok

Evening staff need to straighten up. Not very service minded

The breakfast was very good and the room was lovely and comfortable. The staff was wonderful (Shy the black woman on duty at the front desk at 1 pm, on March 4thand Aaron the black young man on duty at 9 am on March 5th)

The location is not ideal next to a loud car wash, but I did not hear it on my side of the hotel. The lobby was a bit rundown but they ae being renovated.

Located in a good place between DC and Maryland, best place to check in if your visiting DC

The parking lot is not enough to accomodate guest.

Very clean, good breakfast, polite service. Everything that was supposed to work worked :) The parking next door is very affordable. Gloria L. is great as well as the lady at the reception (day shift)

The fridge is loud as well as the AC unit, I had to unplug the fridge - couldn’t sleep with my migraine
