Bathtub is slippery. Air conditioner didn’t work properly.

Truly somewhere between 2 and 3 stars. Sort of clean but needs TLC and to be gutted. Near major roads and many restaurants.

First room had peeling wallpaper and found mold, got new room quickly, amenities were fine, bedspreads were stained, bathroom was spacious and clean but shower handle was missing and had a rusty rod in its place, so happiness with bathroom was ruined, breakfast was ok, some things good some not, coffee was pretty decent, also pool was extremely small, pictures were misleading

We stayed at this property because hotels near my family's location were sold out or incredibly expensive (they live near Hersheypark). I don't usually pick hotels with ratings as low as this one, as found on Booking.com. Our experience confirmed that I should stick with my process. We were incredibly disappointed with our stay overall. The entire property appeared dirty and unloved/not well maintained, from a lack of cleanliness in our room and shared spaces, to simple maintenance tasks left undone. While generally Holiday Inn Expresses don't have good breakfasts, this one seemed worse because the team did not keep food options refilled or tables and containers clean. The staff seemed completely uninterested in customer service, from tone of voice to customers to ignoring staff interaction with each other (yelling at each other at the front desk).

Overall the room and facilities were average. Housekeeping changed sheets and bathroom supplies one day and only changed bathroom supplies on second day. Had to take three cold showers. They said they would take care of problem but didn’t get fixed till 10 pm on my final night, after I had already taken a cold shower. Was told I would get a receipt in three days for some unknown reason. Eight days later and I still haven’t received a receipt. Will never stay there again.

I was in the area to attend an Event at the Carlisle Fairgrounds. Hotel location and cleanliness of the rooms was good but there were some issues.

Worse part is there was no hot water 3 mornings of the 4 nights I stayed and even 1 evening (8:30PM). While I understand there is high demand early morning on weekends aligned with Carlisle Events, this was unacceptable. I did not have this issue the previous several years I've stayed here. The continental breakfast seems to decline year over year. The highlight previous years was the waffle maker, which was replaced by a slow, subpar automatic pancake machine which was just terrible. No biscuits and gravy this year like previous years. Eggs, Bacon and homefries were sufficient, but not the same. One morning the eggs were replaced with egg white, veggie omelets. Not a great decision considering the majority of guests were a bunch of middle age men going to a car show. Pool was nice and warm but just plainly needed to be vacuumed, there was a lot a sand in the bottom. Parking is a challenge as there are a number of people coming in with car trailers and box trucks. Space in the upper lot is tight and needs to be planned for by guests with oversized vehicles. My pickup and car trailer are 49 feet long and there are only a few spots that can accommodate that length. There were guests who were parking single cars in that area which made munerving trucks/trailers difficult. It was downright comical one night watching someone trying to back a trailer into a spot it obviously was too big for.

This place is very old and outdated. We actually checked back out and got a different hotel. I don’t recommend this hotel at all.

This is an older hotel that is in serious need of renovation.

Arrived at hotel around 9:00 pm and waited :15-:20 for someone to arrive at counter to check us in. Hallways and elevator were filthy. Room was fairly clean and comfortable
