Hampton Inn Harrisburg/Grantville/Hershey

Very clean

Was told the room would be ready at 3PM. Was sitting in the parking lot and went to do the digital checkin. Waited for over an hour waiting for it to tell me it was ready. Finally walked inside and they guy said it was ready. So the digital checkin wasted an hour of my vacation. They told me that nobody was at the from desk after 11pm. Came back to my room after 11Pm, the room was freezing. Went to the air conditioner to turn the air off. There was pieces of tape over the controls like there had been a sign there, but there was no sign just tape. Tried to turn it off. It didn't do anything. At this point there was nobody at the desk to complain to. Had to go out to my car and get a hooded jacket to wear or I wouldn't get any sleep at all. Didn't get much sleep because it was so cold, even with the hooded jacket. I sleep with the tv on. At 4AM I was awoken to a buzzing noise. Was coming from near the tv. I get up, turn off the tv but theres still a buzzing noise. Still nobody to compain to at 4AM. Eventually I walked to the tv that was now off and I touched the bottom of the base and the buzzing stopped. Weird. At 7AM when I was getting ready for the day with little sleep, I noticed on the wall a thermostat that controlled the air conditioner. Never in my life have a been in a room with an air conditioner like that where you didn't use the controls on the unit itself. And why was the thermostat on the wall on the opposite side of the room and not near the air conditioner? Should have been a sign telling me this. Did someone steal the sign? Then I went to breakfast and there was no bacon. How do you not have bacon for breakfast? When I went to checkout I complained to the girl at the counter about the airconditioner and she said oh yeah some rooms have a thermostat on the wall instead of using the controls on the unit. Thats great.

Close to casino which has a great outdoor venue for concerts, as well as proximity to a couple fantastic restaurants.

Very clean room, nice staff, right near Hersheypark and many shopping malls

From the moment we entered the hotel the man at the front desk greeted us made us feel very welcomed with a beautiful smile and amazing energy explained everything clear for us gave us some suggestions on places to eat and explained what was close by and what was not I wish I remembered his name unfortunately we had a long day and my mind was scattered. The room was beautiful it was clean and nice decor. The pool was nice the hours for the pool are amazing the only thing I would recommend is more lighting. The breakfast was really good and always fully stocked. And when requested towels it was always on time. Will definitely book again

The room was a little small for the 4 of us plus luggage, but other than that it was fairly clean and the breakfast was good.
