No highway noise, windows open, we looked out into the trees

Back parking lot had a shady vibe, strong cooking smells daily, carpets needed to be replaced

Our stay at the Bellingham Lodge was a really good experience. We were able to use the hot tub to relax after a long day with family. We appreciated the friendliness of the staff. The upgrades to the room made it feel safe and comfortable. Thanks so much

Parking spots are few and small. Room had cleanliness issues. Bedding on one bed was still damp. Bed cover had a weird smell to it.

I stayed for 5 days, unplanned, in a non-smoking room. I unexpectedly had to quarantine myself for 5 days while traveling in the Bellingham area. This place worked out well. Very reasonably priced. My room was very quiet. The bed was comfy. The bathroom was clean, but a little dated. The staff was excellent. Very friendly and helpful. They offered me a late checkout time without me asking for it. Morning coffee was good. I did not try the waffles. There are quite a few restaurants nearby, but I could not go to them. There is a shopping center within about half a mile, which was convenient because I didn't have a car. I had a fridge and a microwave, so I was able to eat meals in the room. There is a beautiful arboretum nearby with steep forested hills.

After 5 days anywhere, you can probably find something to complain about. Overall, the place is a little dated and worn, but still very comfortable and quiet. A little more variety in the morning breakfast options would be nice. I heard some other guests complain about smelling stale smoke in the hallways, but since I had a mask on when I was out of my room, I didn't notice it. I did not smell smoke in my room. The Lodge has both smoking and non-smoking rooms, so that is something to be aware of.

The parking

Not only when you walk in is there a foul oder but when you realize what its coming from your heart will sink. Evidence of cockroaches behind the appliances and the scariest of all, Bed Bugs. I put up three of my workers in this hotel and started getting messages and photos from them saying they have bed bugs in the rooms! When I confronted the Manager about these issues she just started screaming at me saying that all my employees brought them in and she will do nothing about it. with the level of infestation in these rooms, there is no possible way that my employees brought them in. The manager started cursing at me and telling me she was going to call her lawyer then hung up on me. Whatever you do, DO NOT STAY HERE!!! You will bring home some unwanted pests. Manager will not release her records of pest control but you can clearly shee in photos that she is just pouring some white powder to try and kill these things saying "I did my own research, I don't need to call anyone!" I wasn't going to leave a negative review because its a Motel and these things happen but after the manager called me and screamed at me telling me its our fault and started threatening me legally, I had to do something. I almost forgot! They are also trying to give expired food to customers as well! I added a photo of that too.
