"Refuse to give a credit or refund when stay was cancelled"

My suggestion is to look for a more accommodating place to stay. During these uncertain times when everyone is finally trying to get back to normal and travel to see friends and family, they kept my $237 deposit and refused to give me a refund or a one night hotel credit! I needed to cancel the reservation and I cancelled too late. I requested a refund or a credit. The hotel management refused. I was advised that since I booked through Expedia, a credit or refund would not be given. Expedia informed me that the hotel was paid and if any monies were refunded, it would have to be from the Hotel. I found this Hotel to be very unaccommodating---keeping monies during these times when all they needed to do was give a credit even if the cancellation was late. Almost every other hotel and airline have waived their cancellation policies during this time, but this hotel refused to grant me the courtesy of waiving their cancellation policy.

Stay was fine but I got charged more than needed. I booked the hotel twice for two different trips through Hotel.com and charged by hotels.com on 4/12/2021 for $434.36 and 4/23/2021 for 490.10. But I do not know why I got charged by Holiday Inn on 4/23/2021 for $12 and and 4/30/2021 for $426.39. I am calling Hotels.com right now and been waiting for the last hour on hold because busy. Very frustrating. Can you help?
