Days Inn by Wyndham Knoxville East

Room was not clean especially bathroom & room had roaches.

This area, being right off the freeway, was LOUD!! But I just needed a decent place to sleep during my travels.

More food choices for breakfast

The sheets were stained and the pillow covers had hair, all the towels had hair except for one, the water from the sink smelt like lead and dirt

the staff at the front desk was quite wonderful and easy to deal with. the room was spacious and easy to move around. it was right near the high way making it easy to access for someone like me who was passing through on my way to another destination and just needed a place to stay overnight.

it was extremely hot in the room. the ac would not cool the room down at all so it made it quite hard to sleep. there was also a mirror right near the door that you could see peek through the window curtain which was a little unsettling especially as a solo traveler. They also deactivated my room key an hour before checkout so i had to go to the front desk to get my key to work in order to get my stuff out of my room in 2 trips. i have not been to a place where that has happened prior to checking out. There were some weird stains on the blanket which was kinda gross as well. the tv remote did not work so the tv would not turn on.

Bed was comfortable..

Check in was supposed to be at 3:00... 3 pm online, 3 pm on sign in hotel, but clerk said 4 pm or else pay $25. Then tried to get $200 cash from us...said it was a local fee but would be reimbursed upon leaving if we didn't steal or damage anything. I didn't have $200 cash so she took my credit card & said she only charged me $50.00, but it would be credited back after we checked out.... I've yet to see it! Coffee pot in room leaked all over the floor & I had to clean it up. Check out was 11:00, but we left at 5:30 am. I went to office to see if I could get a cup of coffee & the door was locked....the guy inside office said to come back at 6 am for breakfast & I could get a up then....l explained we had to be at the hospital by 6 am for husband's surgery & all I wanted was a cup of coffe to go & told him coffee pot in my room was broken..... that didn't matter to him Also, the floor in the bathroom was dirty.

The location and the price were not bad

Staff was rude, the rooms smelled horrible and were not clean. We had to wait for a really long time to even get our rooms even though we booked ahead. They were not accommodating to us in anyway. We will never stay here again
