Absolutely beautiful property with a very comfy bed, wonderful staff, and a great breakfast. We only stayed one night so did not have a kitchen unit. If staying longer you definitely need a moto or ATV. There are a few places to eat you can walk to in Belague.

Beautiful place to stay and lovely view of the mountain. Rooms were comfortable. Bed was comfy. You need a 4x4 to drive up to the please and also go around to the waterfalls.

Best housing of our trip. Great hosts, don't hesitate to tell them about any doubts you might have about anything on the island. Very nice room, perfectly clean. Great garden with a beautiful view (and we could spot howler monkeys). Very good breakfast. Don't hesitate to rent a scooter (if you already drove any: the path to the hotel can be tricky if you are inexperienced) or an ATV to go around the island. We recommend the sunset at "Comedor Christin", the kayak tour at Playa mangos (more a restaurant than a beach) and a quiet and chill time at Ojo de Agua, all easily accessible from the guesthouse.

Het eiland is prachtig en het uitzicht is werkelijk waanzinnig. Helaas wordt deze bijzondere plek overschaduwd door de gebrekkige service. Wij werden ervan beschuldigd de sleutel kwijt te zijn, terwijl wij deze de avond ervoor in de keuken hadden neergelegd en hem de volgende ochtend — op de dag van vertrek — niet meer konden vinden. Er was geen enkel personeelslid aanwezig om ons te helpen; in plaats daarvan werden we gemaand om helemaal naar Moyogalpa te komen om daar het “probleem” op te lossen. In Moyogalpa aangekomen bleek dat we niet met de eigenaar mochten spreken en werd ons direct 45 USD in rekening gebracht voor de “verloren” sleutel. Opmerkelijk genoeg werd dit bedrag daarna telkens verlaagd, wat de sterke indruk wekte dat er met de kosten werd gespeeld en dat we mogelijk werden opgelicht. De houding van de staff was dan ook allesbehalve behulpzaam. Daarnaast vielen de faciliteiten zwaar tegen: geen airco, veel insecten in de kamer en geen klamboe — iets wat je voor deze prijs absoluut mag verwachten. Kortom: een waanzinnig mooie locatie, maar de service en voorzieningen zijn ronduit teleurstellend. Hou hier rekening mee voordat je boekt.

Such a beautiful setting! Stunning views, tropical surroundings, monkeys, parrots and the local cats and dogs!! Great hosts always willing to help, and thd ladies cook an awesome breakfast! Room was spacious with ceiling fan and portable fan. Very comfy king sized bed. Volcano views from the room and backyard. We stayed 5 nights... could have stayed longer. The walk into the village for dinner is only about 15 minutes.

The only downside is the rough access road as the property is about 600 metres or so off the main road.

Beautiful view. Enjoyed king bed. No air conditioning but good breeze with open windows. Very clean and nice layout. Great breakfast!

Sheer curtains enable good air flow but of course allow early morning light. Poor signage to find property. Property located up fairly steep hill.
