Proximity to Villa Park, friendly manager, very crisp bedding

OUTSIDE The unkempt and dirty courtyard, had water feature with stagnant/pink water and many old cigarette ends on floor, tables and chairs were too dirty to sit at INSIDE the bar with tables stacked up, some surfaces ringmarked with drink spills and the whole place had piles of supplies piled up like not really in use often, old fashioned key for bedroom hard to use, very loose tap to wash basin

Breakfast was a good but had to ask for things and no butter for toast or brown bread. Bit noisy from work place over the road, but we did stay on a working day

Room was nicely presented with boutique style character. Nice guest amenities.

Never got one of the family rooms with two single beds that we booked. When i went to enquire, they said it was the same price. no apology and no change of room could be made. There is a lot of road noise when staying in the front rooms. Didn't find the bed comfortable. No breakfast options prior to 7am.

Staff were really friendly. Breakfast was nice. Room was comfy.

Would have been good to have had an iron in the room and a chair.

This place has free and secure parking, a characterful property and stylish, quirky room. Comfortable bed and thick duvet. Breakfast is excellent and very close to supermarket/ restaurants, city centre etc. a million times better than Premier Inn or Travelodge. Helpful staff.

It is not in a lovely area (Birmingham industrial area) but we knew that. Was expensive but sadly not for the area…Travelodge was more. The room was small.

Hotel packs a hell of a lot of character and charm. The bits and bobs dotted around mixed with the refreshingly modern bathroom were a lovely balance. Breakfast was tasty, fresh and hot. Staff were all lovely and accommodating. Very well situated for Villa Park, easy 40 minute walk to a decent retail park and some nice architecture along the route.

The absolute tiniest of things to mention, but the front door is key locked so you couldn’t easy order a late night snack 😂 - however I didn’t ask the staff who I’m sure would accommodate it as to not bother them around midnight. Good for the waistline at least!

Clean and well appointed bathroom. Secure car parking

Bed too small. Bedroom curtain falling off rail. A winter duvet on 2nd May. We were only given instant coffee at breakfast.
