Staff was really helpful and always smiling, with very gentle behaviour. Even though I could not arrive on the original day of my booking due to the storm in Cape Town, they accommodated me the next day and extended/adjusted my stay without any extra charge. The room was very clean and tidy, the shower area was excellent, and the washroom was spacious and spotless. The First Group is doing a great job taking care of this property. I usually travel to Cape Town 4–5 times a year, so I will definitely make sure that Riviera Suites is my first choice on Booking.com. The location in Sea Point is also excellent. Even they allowed me late check out , I really enjoyed my stay at Riviera Suites.

The chef in the kitchen, especially during breakfast 🍳, did not really know how to make a proper masala or well-done omelette. There were also no capsicum or bell peppers available. It took 40 minutes to serve me omelette and it was not according to my expectations but I had no choice as I was getting late for the meeting. Gym facilities needed in much better way to make it more valuable.

Lovely staff, good location.

Tiny car park, which meant we often had to search for off street parking. One evening we had to park a long way away. We had a ground floor room and you could hear everything from outside in the foyer, especially at 6.45am when the housekeeping team arrived and bashed about and shouting to each other. Finally we booked massages at the on-site spa (quite likely a separate company to the hotel) for 10am. We arrived promptly but at 10.15 we clearly heard the spa manager calling the therapist and admonishing her for being late etc as she still hadn't turned up for work. At that point we cancelled our booking and went elsewhere.

It’s centrally located. The room was clean and well kept. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful.
