Great location with plenty of good food choices nearby. I found the bed to be very comfy and the in-room coffee better than expected. Lovely view of the school and green hills was a bonus.

As with many accommodations, quiet vs. noisy is up to your neighbors, not the property.

Castle Waimea was a great location and allowed us to explore Waipio and do the Pololu hike. The lodge was clean; staff was friendly and helpful. The room had a small fridge and coffee/tea machine, a real plus as we were able to keep water and sandwiches on hand. This was our 20th trip to Hawaii, and we would definitely stay at Castle Waimea again. We highly recommend the Castle Waimea Country Lodge. Mahalo, Carolyn & Barry
