Check in was slow. Only one person working the front desk and was completely unphased by the long line. Questions about paying to park were very confusing. Some of our group where told to pay while other where told it was included and didn't have to pay. Out of the three elevators in the lobby two did not work at all and the third was painfully slow. They did open access to the staff elevator however it was always full of cleaning and linin carts so really not usable. I wound up getting a lot of my exercise using the stairs to get to the 6th floor including carry our bags. The room was on the end of the hall so it was very oddly shaped like it probably wasn't a room at first and was turned into one later. Lighting was terrible but opening the two large windows made it better. It was clean so there is a plus. The shower water was hot and the bathroom was large. The bedding was okay. Could tell the mattress was not newer due to the dips in it and the pillows where very stiff. We did not use the fridge but it was smaller then usual. The room had a large TV and decent channel selection. We did not eat at the onsite restaurant because of the prices and had brough a lot of our own food and microwave. We ordered food from other places for delivery. My wife and I did not drink at the bar other than coffee. Black small cup of coffee in a paper cup for $6. There are a lot of good places to eat within of a mile from this hotel so don't feel captive to their menu. Our dance competition in the adjoining conference area was convenient. The hotel lobby has lots of places it sit and hang out. The staff was constantly cleaning and emptying the garbage cans. Once during out trip I used the fitness center. Its small but usable. The cardio equipment appears to be newer and the weight machines are old but all worked. Dumbbells from 5-50 lbs and a single adjustable bench. The pool is large enough for maybe six people. Checkout was easy. One of the families in our group did have some things go missing from their room during the stay. I wont go into details but a police report was filed and corporate management notified. Would I stay here again? Not intentionally. If our dance studio decided to return next year fine but I'll at least know what to expect.

Our stay at the Hyatt Regency Dulles was unfortunately disappointing due to how a situation involving a convention group was handled. During our stay, a fitness convention was taking place at the hotel. On multiple occasions, attendees and organizers from the group asked my children to leave the hotel pool even though the amenity was not reserved for private use. My children were accompanied by their older sister the first time this occurred, and the following day my wife was present when the same thing happened again. We raised the issue with the Front Desk Manager during the stay and were told the group would be spoken to. While staff indicated they addressed the situation, the behavior continued and the group effectively dominated the pool area. As a result, my children ultimately felt uncomfortable using the pool for the remainder of our stay. What was most disappointing was the lack of follow-up afterward. I contacted Hyatt Concierge while still on property and was informed the hotel’s leadership team would be contacted, but the property never reached out to address the situation. The issue itself could likely have been resolved quickly with clearer enforcement that hotel amenities remain available to all guests unless explicitly reserved. Instead, the environment became uncomfortable for other guests trying to use the space. We generally enjoy staying at Hyatt properties and have had many positive experiences, which is why this situation stood out as particularly disappointing.

Stayed here for business, rooms are clean and quiet. Front desk was very quick to get us our room keys. Dinner is a bit pricey but the food is good. Recommend the red pepper bisque & happy hour quesadilla. Good portions.

Spacious room, lovely TV.

The bathroom sensor light stayed on i.e. the red light. Even though the light was off, there was a sensor light from the bathroom that was very bright during my stay and I prefer a blacked out room. Hot water also took approximately 10 minutes to get to my room. Not sure if this was because the room had not been used for a while. I imagine so cause the next morning, the hot water did not take that long to get to the shower. Thanks.
