Hillside Motel

The peace and quiet were lovely. It was just outside of the tourist area. The rocking chairs outside were a great addition. We really enjoyed them. However, we couldn't sleep in the bed very well. They were way too hard. They just had no give.

Amanda and her staff were friendly and fantastic.We had a family suite and my son was excited to have his own room.We also enjoyed the pool.We will definitely be back .

Outdoor furniture by the pool side needs to be updated, chairs had many cracks and looked borderline unsafe. I also wish shower curtain would have been somewhat better looking. Apart from this, everything was pretty great for the price paid.

Wow, are we glad we found this place! It’s a humble, bare-bones motel but clean and well-run by a friendly proprietor who happily and efficiently helped us with unexpected changes in our room needs, getting extra furniture, finding local things to do, etc. You’re a two-minute drive (or short $1 trolley ride) from all of the excitement of the lakeside restaurants, watersports and other activities and events, without having to pay the exorbitant prices of the hotels on that strip. You can’t beat the price, and there’s even a tiny pool and playground for kids on site. This is the perfect base from which to spend your days doing all the things the Lake George area has to offer.

My only complaint was the shower. The water was either steaming hot or freezing cold and it would keep changing during the shower. It was awful.

Bed was super uncomfortable. Nowhere to do laundry. No microwave. Workers were super friendly. Bathroom super small.

It was beautiful and comfortable for my family. It was clean and well taken care of.

Very friendly accommodating staff. Right on the trolley line.

Visited July 4th weekend. Last minute plans so this place had rooms n the price seemed ok. Let me just say the owner Amanda was pleasant and eager to fix problems with the TV....service was on and off for our stay, the shower only put out cold or hot water only. We were there 3 nites the room was not cleaned, garbage was not taken out. We only got clean towels twice. Look elsewhere before booking here.

No wash cloths, toilet leaned forward, small no-door closet, gap along bottom of front door, trashy yard and un cut, small toddlers toys laying around near picnic tables. A/C did not work, primitive or budget queen bed, one roll of toilet paper, no room service as to linen or towels, no continental break fast, no microwave everything is from a dollar store or second hand store.
