Hillside Motel

Where do I start. Outdated is one thing filthy is another. There was a lamp that had dried reddish brown splatter on the broken lamp shade. The walls had years of dirt and stuck on stuff.the beds we're just cots. Now let's talk about the bathroom. The floor was rotting through and the toilet felt like it was going to go through the floor, the shower curtain was one folded in half to fit, there was spiders and beetles living in there.the bathroom window was spray painted white and was broke did not lock. there was a 1/2 " gap between the floor and bottom of front door. The screens was just screen stapled to the rotted window. The blankets we're dirty but worked to cover the small window curtain s so people couldn't look in at you. The yard was a bunch of broken down cars and gutted buildings a couple campers with people living in it in the back, the grass was overgrown. And there was no housekeeping service. The pool was nice and was clean there was DirecTV and the air-conditioning worked great and the office stayed open to accommodate very late arrivals... The location is nice the trolley stops there for 1.00 takes you to town one way. The rooms should not be rented until they are inhabitable.. or charge an appropriate fee. Like 40 a night

Pros: Moderately clean. Clean bedding & linens. Friendly owner. Near attractions. Upgrading in progress. Outdoor pool. Cons: Extremely rundown. Doors & windows not secure. Owner not on premises. No ice. Needs overhauling. Dirty air conditioner. Tip: Would not recommend until motel has been throughly updated & there are staff on duty 24/7.

Friendly and welcoming owners, nice location, but really outdated and dusty room. Bathroom was horrible - old and super shabby. Dirty floors, dust is everywhere. Bed linings were clean and mattress was okay. The other furniture was old and dirty. We liked the fact that they had bbq and we could hang around outside. A little overpriced for the quality of stay but I guess it is an okay price considering the area.

Decent, wish we had a better relationship with the owner though. Close enough to the village but far enough from noises. The price was good for what we got, and Lake George is awesome, we had a good summer.

had a great stay this summer, many renovations happening quiet area just secs from lake george village / lake..prices were fantastic. if your looking for budget friendly and not all for the huge prices of luxury this is the place..
