The Anchor Inn

Location was great, it is value for the price paid and true to other reviews. For us one night in the Isle it was perfect.

Nothing negative to say it was as it has been reviewed in past so as expected.

Friendly, central, spacious room. Very quiet, despite a band playing.

Room was Chilly

My room was comfortable and I had been upgraded because of a misunderstanding about storing my bike overnight. The windows were opaque, no view, but when I opened a window I realised that they overlooked pipes and backs of yards, not what one would want to look out on! It was a convenient place to stay overnight and very close to Red Funnel Ferries and the centre of town.

I had asked for safe storage of my bike overnight as I was on a cycling trip, however, I was directed to a lock-up facility on the harbour wall. I was anxious about using this but it turned out to be secure, though visible to passers-by. I was able to lock my bike to a metal frame and it was still there in the morning!

Needs to use mould remover in shower and attach a towel rail need shower. No where to place towel for shower other than floor.

Well fitted and well maintained

Beds were comfy and the shower was amazing!

Could do with black out curtains as the street lights projected alot of light into the room.
