Property is in rough shape. Our room had a bad smell to it. it's in need of major updating.

We chose this hotel primarily for its attractive location, booking two queen beds for a two-day stay. However, our experience quickly turned sour. Upon arrival, we were assigned a room with two double beds instead of the queens we had reserved. The cleanliness left much to be desired, as the bedding had an unpleasant odor. After multiple requests, we were finally moved to another room, but it contained one queen bed and one double bed. The explanation given was that rooms with queen beds had been allocated to the hotel staff. The whole process took 3 hours leaving us inconvenienced during the night. The following day, we ventured into the mountains, leaving our belongings in the hotel room, as our reservation was for two days. However, upon our return that evening, we found ourselves locked out of our room due to a card key issue. Multiple visits to the reception proved futile. Eventually, a staff member attempted to assist but couldn't open the door either. The situation escalated when the manager knocked on the door only to discover another guest inside. Shockingly, some of our belongings had gone missing, including mobile chargers, clothing, personal toiletries, and other essentials. Despite heated arguments, the hotel staff displayed a complete lack of responsibility. A confrontational individual, even threatened us in an abusive manner, demanding that we leave the premises. It was only after threatening to involve the police that the hotel agreed to provide us with another room. This entire ordeal unfolded despite our exhaustion from a full day of hiking, with a young child in tow, and left us stranded at the reception for 3-4 hours. The hotel staff seemed utterly disorganized, unable to track room assignments, and offered no accountability for their mistakes. They did promise to reimburse us, but their credibility is questionable at best. Adding to our disappointment, the hotel's website had advertised breakfast as included, yet they failed to provide even coffee or water. In summary, our stay at the Roadway Inn & Suites was marred by incompetence, unauthorized room access, unprofessional behavior, and empty promises. The staff is awful. I was threatened to be kicked out for having a coworker drop off some paperwork, and then was kicked out after two nights of a seven night stay for allowing my dog off his leash to go potty. I was kicked out at 9 pm, and they refused to refund my security deposit nor the unused nights until the manager gets on shift at 7 am (the manager lives on the property). The next morning I called and the manager informed me that she had refunded the unused nights, (but I had to pay for the night they kicked me out, and she didn’t refund the $50 for the pet fee for those five nights). AND she informed she was keeping my $150 cash deposit because, “the dog peed on the carpet and linens were damaged.” Of course, this was BS, and when I asked for proof, pictures of the damaged linens and proof that there was pee, she screamed I don’t have to provide you with anything and hung up. My dog is completely housebroken. I’ve never been denied my deposit in any other hotel. This hotel is disgusting. Everything from the dirty, smoke filled rooms to the shady staff looking to steal your money. Avoid this place at all costs!

Cannot say enough to describe how bad this place is. 1-no sheets on either bed, I had 2 queen beds 2-filthy, nasty place right down to the manager on the place 3- electric went out due to faulty wiring and had to flip the breaker box in the office 4- sink was dirty, (soda pop?) was drained in the sink and never cleaned.. gooy mess., hair ball the size of a golf ball in tub, alcohol and food left in a dresser drawer, (I don't drink), ALL tables and counters were dirty with rings and food on them. I was told (a lie) there were no rooms available so the front desk got me cleaning rags, gloves and cleaner to clean myself. When I turned on the water for the tub, the handle came off.... the water was running! Not draining fast enough! The tub ran over on the nasty carpet. At this time they gave me a "clean" room. Upon arriving, the door wasn't locked. I searched the room, found the alcohol, no bodies, but wouldn't have been surprised. At 12 am..., one of the renters of rhe hotel showed up with their truck with pipes! Rived it up for a half hour and left. Showed back up at 1am Rived it up so it woke everyone! The night lady was very helpful. I was told the "manager " would be in at 7am to reimburse me. Suppose to have my room reimbursed... hopefully! Manager at 7am was rude, nasty, unprofessional. Waiting on payment from them. Will not stay there again and I plan in turning them into the city of CS. SO NASTY!!! HEALTH VIOLATIONS!!!

Older hotel with aging facilities but the room was clean. Many people hanging around the hotel on the outside. Nice staff.

First we got a handicap room which felt odd since we're not handicapped. The bathroom sink was very low and the shower was difficult to use. Second, I got a sliver of glass in my wrist when I sat down on the bed. There were tiny slivers of glass on the bed cover. We didn't want to shake them out on the floor so I had to roll it up and request a replacement. 20 minutes later I was given a sheet for a bed cover. It wasn't sufficient for warmth. On our second night the room key wouldn't work so I went to the office for a replacement but it was closed. Then strangely a woman inside handed me a replacement through the door crack before I even told her what I came for.

It is a great place for the money spent. For people who want to save money on hotels and don't care too much about everything being first class.

Nice no frills place to stay & staff was friendly, helpful & took care for my safety traveling alone.

The bed was great! The people seemed friendly enough, but don't take care of any problems within any of their rooms like holes in floors, etc. I was told that I would be refunded in a couple days but got more taken from my account because they scam people!
