Hotel Riu Palace Maldivas - All inclusive

The Riu Palace says it is 5* but having stayed at many luxury 5*hotels around the world this is so far off the mark. The service was great however they clearly have to stick to their rules eg pool service is restricted 11.30-1 and 3.30-5 so you can’t order anything unless you go to the main buffet. The restaurants only offer limited menus mainly buffet starter/dessert and small selection of main course. Housekeeping basic, no turndown service/towel refreshment. Sadly we have cut short our stay

Beautiful location. Villas on the beach and overwater villas. Lots of fishes, reef sharks and rays to see. No snorkel needed. Beautiful reef just off shore. Bar service was excellent. Staff so friendly and helpful, especially Puja and Desy. Live music on the beach by the bar every night. Great food in the specialist restaurant. Plenty of choice in the buffet.

We had an unforgettable time at Riu Palace Maldives – everything was absolutely beautiful, from the beach to the villas. But what made our stay truly special was the incredible service at the pool bar. Rumesh made the best cocktails we’ve ever had and always welcomed us with such warmth and kindness. He’s not only a talented bartender but also a genuinely wonderful person. Thank you for making our holiday so memorable!

We had an unforgettable stay at the Riu Palace Maldivas. Everything was just perfect – the location, the food, the cleanliness, the atmosphere… and most of all, the service! A very special shout-out to Rumesh from the Pool Bar – he was simply fantastic! Always friendly, attentive, and in a great mood. He made us feel welcome every single day and brought such a positive vibe to the place. But honestly, all the staff members were amazing – so helpful, kind, and professional. You can really tell that everyone here loves what they do. We’ll definitely be back – thank you for an absolutely wonderful holiday! 🌅🍹

Excellent hotel highly recommend. Special thanks to all the bar staff and restaurant staff including Saleem, Nilan, Anu NK (Sioux chef) who made me a special jelly superb location for snorkelling 10/10

Great experience at palace We have been at palace 4 days..it was an amazing holiday what we have spent..special thanks to the bar staff at palace.. THANUKA,SANDE,CHAMARA. SANJU DASUN DESY PUJA THUSHAN WERE OUTSTANDING..They are doing great job at palace.. Thank you Soo much once again..we will come back again.. ❤️❤️❤️

At Riu Palace now .. since arriving the hotel has been just what we hoped for ... The cleanliness of the hotel is exceptional, the staff are fabulous, always greeting you with a smile each day, special shout out to Anu,Puja & Desy at the pool bar , Anu you make wicked mud slides ... & of course Sanjay, bingo by the pool so much fun ... Never loose your shaky shaky, You have a gift to make people smile... Rooms are cleaned daily, love seeing the tower art that is left by the houseman ..The food is excellent, plenty of choice , the two specialty restaurants definitely worth a visit .My highlight of the holiday, reef sharks & rays swimming around our over the water suite totally magical.... Amazing stay & we will definitely be returning.

I don't normally write a review while on holiday but we have been here since 30th September and still have another 10 nights here we are in room 141 beach front room. The hotel is very clean and the staff can't do enough for you always smiling and very polite the food is excellent. Our cleaner is sirai his towel art is excellent always make me laugh everyday and I look forward to see what he has done the room is spotless too. The pool staff who bring you drinks always smiling and never leave you without a drink. The restaurant staff always ask you if everything is ok and as soon as you finish your drink they top it up straight away. At the evening the entertainment is on the beach which is lovely the staff sanja , puja and desy are excellent they are polite and cheerful and always asking if we won't drinks they even give us peanuts and popcorn, they always have time to chat us and have made us feel very welcome from day 1.

My husband surprised me with this holiday for my 40th Birthday we stayed here for a week at the Riu palace in September with our 2 boys aged 14 and 18. From the moment you arrive here it is paradise The rooms are big and spacious we had 2 rooms next to each other on the ground floor back doors open on to the gorgeous beach. All areas are kept spotless from the rooms, beach, to the toilets. The food was just delicious me and my son are very fussy eaters but always found something to have. The staff are another level here we have stayed in a few 5 star places but never had staff like. Every single staff member you come across will greet you with a smile. The staff in the restaurants will bring you dinks as soon as you finished one. The paradise bar the staff so lovely especially Daisy and Sunjay (sorry about spelling) from the 1st night remembered all our names and would greet us using them. How they remembered everyone’s name is amazing 5* staff. The WiFi went down while we were there and needed to check in to our flights the reception staff offered her hotspot so we could do it just great service throughout. We went over to Atoll for the water sports that was free to use, we done the waverunner private tour it was a bit pricey but well worth then money we had a blast. We used the bar where the pool table was my only negative thing I have to say is you can’t play pool under 16 which left a very unhappy 14 year old I understand they don’t want little kids on it but 12 years and over is more reasonable. My son and husband used the gym which they said was good and I had a facial which was amazing. We went to Atoll for the white party and the flower party but definitely prefer the palace more chilled out and I love the fact you can access the atoll but they can’t use the palace which made it less busier. The little shop in Atoll had some lovely bits to buy from. Honestly 100 percent would recommend this hotel and I hope to return one day in the future .
