Hotel Riu Palace Maldivas - All inclusive

This is an amazing place on earth and the hotel is definitely a vital part of that. We travel a lot and this hotel check all our boxes. 👌 It is almost impossible to describe the overall impression. 1. The staff - so polite, service minded, observant. That goes for ALL staff. We are amazed. 2. Very tidy and well taken care of. Sand is raked every day. As soon as a crumble is on the floor or beside a plate on the buffet someone is there to take care of it. The gardens and palm trees are fixed constantly. 3. The food is great. Especially the the A la carte restaurants. The breakfast buffet is definitely one of the best we experienced. 4. The rooms/junior suites are big and superb with the access to the beautiful beach. In some older hotels you can hear everything from neighbours and the outside. Here it is quiet and calm. No sounds. Most appropriated. 5. Beaches, blue and crystal clear water and snorkling just meters from the room. Fishes , turtles, small sharks and rays. 6. All inclusive - means all inclusive. Drinks, snacks, food, buffet , á la carte , 24 hours snacks and drinks (at the sister hotel) , drinks in the room etc. If you must drink french wine or champagne it is not included but moderately priced (Swedish perspective) 7. Some good hotels don’t pay attention to details. This hotel does and that makes a huge difference. One thing to improve is the water activities. (Snorkling and delfin tour) They are not worth the money. One exception is the PADI diving certificate which was a great activity and well performed. We really recommend this hotel.🤩

We didn't have a good start when taken to our first room and transferred to another the next day. Only to find the ceiling was leaking and the curtains were torn and stained. We spoke to one of the members of staff who then went straight to the Manager. She was exceptional and was so apologetic to us and said she would fix it. The next day we were moved to an over the water bungalow, which was magic. This was our 3rd time here as we do love the resort. The pool bar staff are excellent and friendly. The buffet staff are also excellent. We enjoyed the food very much. Our only wish is that the pool needs to be up-graded. We loved playing Kahoot and I won a snorkeling tour with the marine biologist and that was fantastic. We believe that the Palace is improving every time we visit. Especially the grounds,the food and entertainment.. We will visit again.

We visited in April 2024, staying at both Riu Atoll and Riu Palace across the stay. Having stayed in 2022, this stay was just as fantastic. Hotel rooms, resort, food, drinks, staff and activities were all as incredible as our first stay. I wanted to acknowledge a few members of staff for making this holiday such a special stay and going above and beyond: Sanjay (entertainment) great aero yoga, great all-round entertainer, such a kind person with a big personality! Desy (Palace bar) - very professional and fantastic service for drinks. Jessica (sports cafe) - sports cafe own ray of sunshine - very attentive and always remembered drinks orders with a smile. Vajira (chef in Atoll) - incredibly knowledgeable about all dishes and great for dietary advice. One of our party was vegan and he was always on hand to help. Kelvin (Atoll pool bar) - great drinks, professional and friendly. Kurthgeeta - (Palace restaurants) always smiling, helpful and great conversation. Rafah (Atoll restaurant) what a refreshing ray of sunshine - such a positive personality and great service. Asel (reception) - always helpful, smiling and professional. If you can afford an upgrade to Palace, and in particular, to a overwater pool bungalow, I'd definitely recommend for privacy, next level views (sunset for us!) and access both sides. Great addition of the buggies to take you from both sides.

We’re a family of four and spent two weeks at Hotel Riu Palace Maldivas. The seaplane transfer was Amazing and the check-in was quick. Our room was clean, quiet and had plenty of space and really Close to the sea. The highlight was snorkeling just a few steps from our room. We regularly saw turtles, small reef sharks and lots of fish. Food was delicious, the main buffet had enough variety for everyone and changed day to day. We also tried Krystal and Yu Hi and enjoyed both. Staff made the stay great, thank you to Puja, Abu, Daisy, Sanjay, Sanju, Divya, Ponam and Chamara. Overall a relaxed place for a fantastic holiday with excellent snorkeling.

We had an amazing stay at Riu Palace Maldives. The journey to the resort was well-organized – after arriving in Malé, we took a short domestic flight to Dhaalu, followed by a quick van and speedboat transfer. Everything went smoothly and was clearly communicated. The hotel is beautiful and matches the online descriptions perfectly. We originally booked a beach room but upgraded to an overwater villa – totally worth it! The resort is spread across two islands (Riu Atoll and Riu Palace), connected by a long bridge. Guests staying at Riu Palace have access to both islands and all restaurants, pools, and bars. Our room was spotless, cleaned daily with fresh beach towels and fun towel art. The mini bar was restocked every day. The beach was pristine with soft white sand, and there was great snorkeling right off the shore – we even saw baby reef sharks! Food was delicious and varied, with different themed stations and à la carte restaurants. The Asian restaurant was our favorite. Staff throughout the resort were incredibly kind and helpful. There’s also a water sports center where you can borrow gear like snorkels, SUP boards, and kayaks – all included. Overall, a wonderful experience – we’d absolutely come back!

Fantastic food and service!! Cannot wait to visit again with our sons next time. Staff cannot do enough for you!

Riu palace was excellent could not fault our holiday. Riu staff in every department really looked after us . well done to all.

My spouse and I traveled to RIU Maldives along with my son and daughter-in-law. We had a lovely time. We were celebrating my husband's birthday and the RIU made it a very special occasion. It is a beautiful place to wake up to each day. We reserved a room above the water. It was absolutely beautiful, but it is difficult to swim in the water because of the under current. The beach was absolutely beautiful. The employees are accommodating and very friendly. The only thing I would change is the buffet. I am not a fan of buffet. I would prefer to order ala carte from a menu. Other than this everything was great. The entertainment was also good. I would visit the RIU Maldives again.
