The Drayton Hotel Savannah, Curio Collection by Hilton

The hotel is lovely. The rooms are very small. No chair to sit, only the bed. But everything was in walking distance.

I have mixed feelings about this hotel. The bed and pillows were great, Service okay, we had a suite and it was the smallest suite I have ever stayed in (not even sure you could call it a suite, there was no separation between the bed area and sitting area and only one TV), and they are very stingy on giving you water. We stay at alot of hotels, like 60 nights a year, and have never stayed a place that gives you one bottle of water in your room (granted it's a bigger one - You need a bottle opener to open it, and of course there wasn't one in the room), they don't refill the water daily, and if you go to the front desk and ask for water they pour you water from a pitcher into a glass glass. It was really odd. Would I stay here again? Maybe. But for the price, I don't think the value is there. The room corners had dirt in them, the shower was not super clean (my husband had to spray it down when we got there because there was sand and dust - or what we assume was dust) all over it. For the price, I just don't think we got what we paid for. The location is great though!

This was a clean basic room and price seemed to be in line with other hotels close by until checkout. They had added a high Destination FEE which I was told is similar to a resort fee but there were no resort type amenities. The restaurant and the roof top bar were closed. I have stayed at 5 other hotels on Bay St and all are much better than this hotel and can be trusted to not gouge you with a hidden fee when you check out.

It was a quick stay but the sweet staff made it memorable 🙌

Parking. It was chaotic. Valet system disorganized. Arrived late one night and no one at front desk or at Valet. Left my keys with security guy with a hope and prayer.

The hotel was understaffed, not all the facilities could be used, there was a wedding in the roof top bar. At check out I complained about the fact that the hotel was understaffed and it took forever to check in and get service in the room, such as an ironing board... and the reaction of the front desk staff was totally inappropriate and insulting.
