Pensalda Guest House

Our host was Karen, who was very friendly and accommodating. She welcomed us when we arrived and took us to one of their beautifully constructed chalets at the rear of the property. The room was nicely decorated and spotlessly clean; it had a nice, powerful shower and a wonderfully soft bed; one could not ask for any more. In the mornings, we had the option of a continental or full English breakfast, which was very tasty. Her son James also has fabulous local knowledge and suggested that we take a mini trip to Charlestown Harbour in St. Austell, where the Poldark series was filmed. This was fabulous with the long boats in the harbour and the movie prop set. Not to mention the hotel is only a stone’s throw from Port Beach, which is great for its views, especially the Mermaid Pools. I look forward to another visit next summer. David & Lorraine

Was only down for a couple of days away. Such a beautiful place that feels like home away from home. Very clean and tidy and a very good breakfast. Owners was lovely, easy to talk to and enjoy conversations with and very accommodating.

We loved every bit of our stay at Pensalda Guest House over this long weekend. Our room was spotless really, so neat and clean, with a partial sea view and we had a delicious breakfast everyday, included in our package. Karen was so friendly and welcoming, always carrying a smile and she made sure our stay was nothing less than being at home! It is at an excellent location to the town centre and so nearby to the beach. We will definitely be back and will be recommending to our family and friends visiting. A wonferful guest house. Spotlessly clean, great value for money and very well run. Karen is a really lovely host and breakfast is super. Lots of choice and overlooks the lovely garden. Feels homely and relaxed. Parking is a real bonus and the short walk into town makes it a perfect location. Would return in future
