Chester Inn & Suites

My partner and I stayed at the Chester Inn and Suites for two nights while on a road trip. Overall, we had a comfortable stay. The hotel and room themselves were very clean and up-to-date. However, to no fault of the staff, their elevator was out of service the first night of our stay and we were placed on the 4th floor. This inconvenience was made worse by the fact that the hallways were unusually warm and the staircase was filled with trash and cardboard which smelled particularly bad. To note, this hotel also has a list of miscellaneous fees which are listed on the receipt upon check-in, including one if linens are soiled to an undisclosed extent which was a cause for concern for us. The staff were very kind and this is a decent property to stay at for a short duration.

Hit what I expected

The pool was warm. The rooms were clean. Very quiet because not many guests at the hotel.

There was no breakfast like advertised. The man at the front desk struggled to communicate effectively and did not understand. He was not very helpful when asked for things and the manager had to get involved to assist. No towels in the pool area. Under new management and the hotel definitely needs some updates and remodeling
