Very nice apartment. It had everything you may need - pots, pans, dishes, huge tv, balcony, hair dryer, AC,...Located in the very heart of Funchal - there is a huge mall right next to it, and also a huge parking house is like 3 minutes away. The communication with the host was exceptional.

The only downside were the ants and mosquitoes, but that is very hard to prevent anywhere.

1. Paulo is a wonderful host .. he looked after our comforts. He is also very accommodating and responds to messages promptly. 2. Great location. Very convenient for restaurants, mercado (grocery store), parks 3. Satisfactory amenities in the apartment, including air-conditioner

The apartment is great. The only issue for those with limited mobility is having to navigate two flights of stairs.

Modern, funky, spacious, super cool and comfortable apartment, with a balcony, on the quieter end of Funchal’s city center, near the ocean promenade, walkable to everything, very close to an airport bus stop for easy transfers, even with luggage. You certainly get more of a local feel staying here, rather than a big hotel.

Nothing really! Although the listing on Booking.com says it has a washing machine, it does not.

Beautiful place at a great location near the city center. Great value, we enjoyed our stay!

The location is very convenient to the key old town part of Funchal - only a 150 metre walk. The apartment is modern, spacious and clean. I did not meet the host - there was no need - but I had a regular and helpful interaction via WhatsApp.

Nothing. Good reading lights bedside and two sets of keys would be ideal.

Paulo was extremely helpful. There was a binder with local knowledge and recommendation which is a brilliant start point for any tourist. He checked in mid week Cleaning happened twice in the week with notice. Excellent standards

The apartment was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. It’s in a very central location in Funchal and it was easy for us to walk around and take public transport. I would say it’s a good base for hiking and other activities around the island. Paulo’s an amazing host and always available to answer any questions. He helped us book a taxi back to the airport for a very early flight.

The location is great, very nice park nearby, Pingo Doce supermarket in the shopping center, where you can also drink delicious espresso. There was also an open air cafe in the park, typical for Madeira, wonderful to have breakfast there in the morning. The Promende do Funchal is only a few minutes away and the famous farmers market is also only 10 minutes away. Blandys Wine Lodge almost on the doorstep. Also a charming theater a few minutes away. Many cafes and restaurants were all nearby, we particularly liked Cafe Ritz. The apartment was very well equipped, with everything you need, also every third top cleaned and towels changed (big thank you to the person who did this from the heart) and the host Paulo very friendly and helpful personality, with him you can ask everything that is close to the heart. When the flight landed at the airport, we called him and when we arrived at the apartment by cab, he was already there. Thank you so much, Paulo, for being so uncomplicated and for thinking of everything. We highly recommend this apartment!

During the time we were there, there were house renovation works nearby, so it can happen that one or the other road is closed and work starts early in the morning. But we weren't in Madeira to sleep, so it didn't disturb us.
