Central - São Pedro Boutique

Location, location, location - probably the best in Funchal. The host was very helpful - we really appreciated getting the room before the official check-in time. We only stayed for a week, but the towels were changed twice. The room was also very cosy and stylish, we felt like home.

Nothing could have been better, we liked everything.

The apartment was lovely, and in a fantastic, central location. It was also very clean. The veranda was ideal, and provided shelter from the rather large amount of rain we had! Communication with Paulo was excellent, and he was very helpful

The Sao Pedro penthouse apartment is extremely comfortable and quiet while being centrally-located. We really appreciated the twice-weekly cleaning and the fact that Paulo was always so responsive. This was our second stay and we are already looking forward to the next time.

Paulo is a wonderful host. He has created a very stylish and comfortable penthouse apartment right in the heart of Funchal. The location was perfect for exploring the Christmas market and enjoying all the seasonal festivities. The apartment is tastefully decorated and features a very comfortable king-size bed. It is spotlessly clean. We especially appreciated the washing machine and kitchenette on the level below. We also found the apartment surprisingly quiet, given its central location.

We only used the outside space for drying clothes, since it doesn't get the sun or have a view.

Very central location and a friendly host !

A number of things we liked: 1. The host Paulo is professional and friendly. He was very considerate allowing us to check in early. He explained a number of useful things around the town. 2. The apartment is spacious and comfortable (has AC); and its location is great, convenient to key touristy things, including good restaurants and a park. 3. Having a grocery store (Pingo Doce) and the mall nearby is really helpful. 4. The apartment is located in a quiet area (though there was some construction going on nearby).

There was not anything we disliked; however for future renters to note - the building does not have an elevator. One has to carry luggage climbing up and down a flight of stairs. It may pose an issue to those with limited mobility. The host, Paulo, was gracious and helped us carry one bag.

The location is great. Its right in the city center and everything is walking distance like restaurants, supermarkets, parking garages. The host was very welcoming and kind. He was always available for any queries.

As its centrally located, it gets very loud. Also, please note that there is no AC in the apartment and if you close the windows then its hot and humid. If you do not then its very loud. Adding to that, there is a construction site nearby. All in all, it was not easy to sleep!
