The next morning, the manager apologized.

I asked in advance what the check-in time was, and I was told that I could check in at 1:00 AM on April 9th. The website stated the exact same thing, and I paid accordingly. In the end, however, we were not checked in until 2:40 AM; they assigned us a different, cheaper room and made us wait for two and a half hours. Not only did we have to travel there in the middle of the night, but we were then kept waiting for a prolonged period. We also tried contacting Booking.com support, but they kept hanging up on us. We called them at least six times, yet every single call was disconnected, and we received absolutely no assistance from them.
