Claxton Hotel

It’s a proper hotel not a pub trying to be a hotel. We recommend the claxton and intend to return on our next visit to Redcar. 10/10.

If they put you on the top floor, forget having a shower. it takes 5 mins for the hot water to come through then it was too slow, in the morning the flow was that barely of a slow tap. Staff were great, breakfast was great, Pint of beer was double the price of the pub in the high street ( 3 min walk )

Great location - 10 seconds from promenade. The new accommodation toward the rear is modern, clean and comfortable. Staff very friendly.

Family run hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful. Clean room with a great view overlooking the sea. Good breakfast with gluten free bread on offer.

We stopped in room 11. It was clean, warm and spacious. The view of the sea was a suprise so must have been upgraded. Staff were pleasant and quick to check in and serve breakfast. Breakfast was good with a choice. Parking was convenient on the hotel car park. It was good value for money and couldn't fault anything.

We stayed 2 nights everything was lovely, we would stay there again.

We love this hotel for the family room. Parking on site, access out of the front door to the beach, lovely walk up and down the coast. Redcar town is a bit run down, but there’s everything we need for a lovely break We particularly like the fresh breakfast options, cooked to our requirements rather than a buffet laid out for hours
