At first, I wasn't so sure. But the staff were amazing, our accommodation was fine but lacked a dresser - we only had 1 night stand and 1 chair. Although, we made our way. The food was excellent and the selection at the buffet gave lots of healthy choices and the chef was so helpful on the gluten free options! We are looking forward to going back and taking more advantage of the activities including horse back riding and hiking! they even had yoga classes and other fun activities.

Die Lodges liegen traumhaft ruhig, mitten in der Natur. Im zugehörigen Restaurant kann man gut essen (am Wochenende Buffet, ansonsten à la carte). Der Service war meist sehr aufmerksam. Idealer Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen oder einfach Erholung in der Natur.

Es war nicht klar ersichtlich, ob es einen täglichen Zimmerservice gibt. So stand zwar ein Korb für schmutzige Handtücher bereit, es gab aber keinen Wechsel.

"Authentic mountain experience for a UK family. Lovely"

Driving round Pennsylvania and Virginia from the UK. So glad we found this place. Felt very authentic. Beautiful views. Really enjoyed the Bluegrass music on the Saturday evening.

Nothing really. Some people have commented that the rooms are a little run down. But this added to the old world charm.

Staff were super helpful. We showed up just as the kitchen was closing for the night, and they made us food to take to the room. Loved the windows in lodge looking over valley and the historic nature of property. Great proximity to trails in Shenandoah and very peaceful.

Was a bit hard to open door to room with key.
