OYO Hotel Burlington South

I was awaken at 3:41 am on April 28, 2019 with an intensed itch. I turned on the lights and threw the sheet back and there was a bug on the sheet. I immediately welt up on my hand, still not knowing what type of bug it was, I googled it...and it was a BED BUG! I robed myself and went to the front desk and Debbie(front desk staff) was very unconcerned, stated that she did not know anything about bedbugs and she would just move me to another room. Considering that a front desk staff had to clean my bathtub and shower (hairs were in the tub and old soap scum was on the shower wall) before taking a shower that Saturday night prior( no housekeeper on duty) and others having moved from room to room because of roaches and dirty rooms(hairs on sheets). I did not accept a move to another filthy room, but I sat in a "pleather" chair until daybreak. At 7:00 am when manager and owner " Andy" came on duty, I attempted to report the BEDBUG issue to him and he became very defensive, irate and stated all "you people" want to do is complain and hollered at me to leave. I later found out that several other guests had had bad experiences with both BEDBUGS and ROACHES and had checked out late that Saturday night and went to other hotels. The pictures on the web site are false. The hotel is filthy, molded, run down, smelly and looks nothing like whats on the website! RUN, THE BUGS WILL GET YOU!!!!

No towels in room, toilet paper dispenser and hair dryer broken, sparsely furnished and decorated room, hard beds, common areas are dirty and in disrepair and smell awful, bad neighborhood/lots of shady characters loitering around, no elevator

Have Stayed Here Before . Last Visit Was Better .... Rooms Then Still Had Carpet .... Now Cold Gritty Floors . Place Is Being Allowed To Run Down Quickly ( Big Time ) . Hallways and Doorways Dirty , Yuck . Only Thing Clean Was Lobby Area . Obvious That Sketchy People Do Stay Here . Best To Pay More and Stay Elsewhere . I Will Not Be Returning On My Next Travels Through This Area. You Should Do The Same .

Main lobby was going through renovation. During the day, it seemed like a great place because the family-friendly environment. It changed at night, as sketchy people hangout by the side entrance. I did just use this place, just to sleep. No breakfast, which is weird.

We checked into this hotel becuase it was inexpensive and had a decent rating here on tripadvisor. The person at the front desk was very friendly and accomodating however, we were the only people waiting to be checked in and it literally took 45 minutes because the hotel has archaic systems. My colleague requested a "suite" and was asked to give a $50 deposit in case the smoked or trashed the room. My room was a room with 2 double beds. When I (and my colleague in his suite) got to the room, (non-smoking room) I opened the door and it literally smelled like a cigarette/ashtry room. The smell was embedded in everything. It caused me to get a migraine. But that's not all. The rooms were literally filthy. The sheets were dirty with stains or just not washed, there were used cups beside the bed and I don't think it had been vacuumed in years. The adjective filthy isn't even sufficient. We exited the hotel immediately. If it were $10 a room I could see staying, but for even the lost cost, not worth it. Don't book this hotel.

We came with high hopes for the hotel. First thing we smell when we come in is weed, which wasn’t that big of a deal. The room wasn’t great. The light didn’t work, and the drawers in the chest were gross. One of the lamps was out by the bed and the beds felt terrible, like I was laying on a cot. There were also no towels, and went I went down to ask for a few they said “I wasn’t given any towels”, and we had to go without them.

We cane in for 1 night and first thing we noticed was that they “no longer offered continental breakfast”. The room was discussing! Toilet paper sitting on the handicap bar, light not working, tv cable cut, and other things broken. I went to put my shoes on and realized how filthy the floor was. NOT worth the savings!

Recently stayed a Friday night. First impression the parking lot has lots of pot holes. The check in area is clean looks well maintained. Room was okay we had a non-smoking room. Hall way and exterior is under construction. If you have a dog with you there is plenty of space to walk your dog. TV worked well as did the room refrigerator. We travel at least once a month, this hotel still needs a LOT of work. Night hotel staff friendly day staff kind of "stiff".

The room was absolutely filthy. The tub faucet leaked. There were stains on the walls furniture and floor. I had my two dogs with me and was desperate for somewhere dog friendly to stay. I contemplated sleeping in the car. It's been nearly a year since my visit and I still talk about how disgusting it was.

I booked this room online the website automatically choose a smoking room. I could not change it online. When I arrived at the "Inn" while checking in I requested to change to a non smoking room. The desk clerk could barely operate the computer system and was unable to accept credit cards from people checking in and actually sending them to an ATM to get cash so he most certainly was unable to change my room and suggested we try later. The room reeked of smoke I sprayed a can of Lysol on every surface of the room, no luck.
