Ionis Hotel

I’ve just spent a 4 night short break at this perfect little gem of a hotel with 9 of my friends, to celebrate my 50th Birthday!! I can’t fault anything about this wonderful little oasis of calm, it’s the perfect place to switch off and just chill…Ilias, the owner made everything happen…nothing was too much trouble, he organised transport for the 10 of us, into Argostoli…fabulous little town with lots of shops, restaurants and Turtles!!! Ilias also took several trips per night to take us up to the restaurants at the top of the hill/mountain and he picked us up later and took us back down the hill, all for a petrol tip…so unbelievably kind and a really great personal touch which you don’t get with a large hotel. The hotel was clean and tidy and a really great base to explore the area from or to just chill by the beautiful pool!! Linda the hotel cat was gorgeous!! The pool bar was brilliant, I had the best tuna salad every day for lunch!! The bar staff were fantastic, especially Irene, she was so friendly and just lovely!! Within 2 minutes walk there is a small supermarket, a coffee shop/bakery, a fuel garage and a lovely little grill restaurant. I had the best time celebrating in Kefalonia and The Ionis Hotel was just perfect!! I really want to book again for next year!! Thank you, Thank you, Thankvyou!!

We've just got back from a 4 night stay. 10 of us stayed to celebrate our friends 50th birthday. It was the perfect place. I love small hotels, and this one stood above the rest. All the staff were so lovely, helpful and accommodating to all of our needs. The manager helped us with taxis into the nearest large town and also offered a complimentary taxi up to the top of the old castle, where we ate 2 fabulous meals in the 2 restaurants there. The small town where the hotel is, has a grill restaurant and a shop opposite, and 2 delicious bakery's a 10 minute walk away. We had a return night flight, and we paid to keep one of the rooms the whole day so we could shower before our flight home. The continental breakfast with hot options was perfect to eat in the garden. Our rooms were clean, comfortable and with much needed air conditioning. The pool bar offers a variety of hot and cold drinks, along with a lunch menu. The pool bar staff are a credit to the hotel. 15 minutes from the airport.

We have just spent a wonderful 10 days in Kefalonia and in this hotel. The hotel is a perfect base for exploring the island and is run by Ilias & Peri and their wonderful family along with Irene who made our stay even more special. The hotel was spotless and the rooms cleaned each day and towels replaced. The air conditioning was a must which worked perfectly. As soon as we arrived we were greeted by Ilias & Peri and straight away I knew we were going to be well looked after, the pool and area around the pool was spotless with plenty of sun beds. If you want to explore the island then you will need a car which Ilias arranged for us and we were able to visit Fiskardo, Skala and Argostoli along with Myrtis Beach and also Platis Galios beach which were amazing. There are a few restaurants nearby but to get the full Greek experience you have to travel further afield. The taxi to Argostoli is €15 and there is also a bus on a Wednesday and Thursday night which picks you up from hotel and drops you back and is €4 each way. There is also a bus that takes you to Lourdes Beach but this is a shingle beach. This was one of our best holidays and made even more special with the kindness of the Greek people and especially the owners of this hotel. Thank you Ilias & Peri we have made some great friends and keep on doing what you do and make special memories for many more

The staff and owners we’re very hospitable and friendly nothing was to much trouble lovely clean rooms .

Nothing it was great

- les propriétaires sont très accueillants et arrangeants - pas de bruit si votre chambre est côté jardin, un vrai plaisir ! - l’espace extérieur est très agréable (piscine, jardin, bar), on y traîne avec bonheur - la piscine est grande avec de nombreux transats Je recommande cet hôtel familial ☺️

Abbiamo soggiornato nella villa , che è parte della struttura alberghiera. La casa è autonoma e ben equipaggiata con tutto ciò che occorre per condurre una vacanza confortevole. È prevista una pulizia settimanale con il cambio di lenzuola ed asciugamani. I proprietari sono molto gentili e disponibili anche a dare informazioni su luoghi da visitare e su ristoranti. La posizione è molto buona per raggiungere in tempi ragionevoli la maggior parte delle spiagge più belle dell’isola. Avendo soggiornato nella villa non abbiamo usufruito della colazione , ma avevamo possibilità di accedere alla piscina e agli spazi comuni . Nel complesso ci siamo trovati molto bene.

Struttura grande, le parti comuni e la piscina sono tenute molto bene. Il personale molto cordiale e disponibile. Ci hanno permesso di fare il check in prima dell orario stabilito.

La struttura non è nuovissima e le stanze sono un po’ tristi.. ma comunque sono dotate di tutto. Inoltre era un po’ fuori dal centro di Argostoli a circa 10 minuti, ma cefalonia è grande e quindi é indispensabile avere un mezzo per girare.

We stayed in the Villa which was perfect for our family. They were very thoughtful to put in an extra bed so our 3 kids could sleep together. The villa was spacious and well equiped, with a lot of privacy. It was really nice to have our own outdoor shower and the pool is amazing in size and temperature. Although the hotel was fully booked, it was never too busy at the pool. We loved that there was a good washing machine with soap and everything in the villa. The location is really convenient and the staff super friendly.

The quality of the bar and breakfast were disappointing. The bathroom of the villa is really small, but we managed. Airco in the master bedroom is quite old and does not work properly. Nevertheless with had an amazing stay.

The hotel is very beautiful with a big swimming pool! Staff were polite and supportive, waiting for us as the flight arrived quite late.

Travelled to Ionis Hotel with our two boys (3 and 5) and stayed in the 2-bed apartment. Hotel was a perfect base for exploring in our hire car. The room was clean and the beds/ towels regularly changed. The pool area was fantastic and the boys loved it so much. We very quickly felt relaxed and welcome by the wonderful owners. The boys feel like they made so many friends and this is because of the friendly and chill atmosphere at Ionis. We have already booked for next August for another two weeks of relaxation and family time 🥰
