Le Castel Marie Louise

A superb hotel of period character with lovely grounds opposite the beach. The staff could not be more welcoming. They were helpful suggesting places to visit in the area. Our room was spacious and well decorated with a large bathroom with bath and separate shower. There is no air conditioning which should be born in mind if booking in the height of summer. The breakfast buffet is noteable for the great variety of foods to choose from.

Nice hotel set up in a beautiful environment. Unfortunately, we stayed in a small dark room on the ground floor, close to the reception, lacking comfort with smells in the toilets. The staff was really lovely and helpful, the concierge was very professional. But at the end, the hotel is up to the standard of a five star hotel.

A lovely hotel full of character; it was a house once upon a time. The staff are very good; nothing was too much trouble and everyone was smiling and attentive. The restaurant was excellent and the waiter who served me made some nice recommendations. They even served oysters for breakfast, but at 28 EUR you should get something special right? Overall, a very nice place to stay. La Baule is generally very expensive and this place is no exception to that. The beautiful 9km beach is just a few metres from the hotel and the grounds have a lot of mature trees and shrubs. They also provide bicycles to use (free of charge).

Concierge and front desk staff very professional. Waiter in the gastronomic restaurant was young and inexperienced, could understand a simple martini request, we actually got up and left. Front desk staff booked us another restaurant off site. Beds were amazingly comfortable and linens were appropriate. No air conditioning so don't go if it heats up, we were on the tail end of a European heat wave so not to bad. Beautiful grounds with tables on the manicured front lawn, great views. Morning breakfast was well executed and staff very gracious. Left us to go coffee at the front desk as we had to hurry thru breakfast.

Personnel aux petits soins et petit déjeuner délicieux. Le Castel est une maison qui a un peu d âge mais dans laquelle vous vous sentirez chez vous.

Très belle chambre , c'est un petit appartement , calme absolu , accueil et service excellents . Surprise désagréable cependant : entrée inopinée dans la chambre de la personne du service du soir , si on ne vient pas lui ouvrir la porte (lorsqu'on ne l'a pas entendue frapper , la porte d'entrée étant au bout du couloir) .

Pas recommandable pour une personne à mobilité réduite. Hôtel qui vieillit très mal. Prix petit déjeuner exorbitant. TV fonction mal. SNOB . Ne mérite pas 5 étoiles

Wir sind durch ein Sonderangebot 50 Prozent zur Entscheidung gekommen. Wir würden sehr verwöhnt . Fernseher mit int. Programmen. Frühstück genial und was das Herz Bedarf, aber 26.50 € pro Person,wir haben es zwei Mal Genossen, und sonst in der kleinen Strandbad o.ä. Schöne Ausflugsziele im Umkreis von 20 km viele Strände. Der Strand von la baule ist riesig und breit bei Ebbe kommt man schwer zum schwimmen

Très bel hôtel aménagé avec raffinement. Acceuil conforme à notre attente Dommage qu'il ne soit pas équipé de climatisation. Volume des sanitaires insuffisants pour un hôtel de cette classe. Pas de piscine ni de SPA ou salle de fitness mais accès aux installations de l'Hôtel Royal situé à quelques pas.

excellent accueil, staff aux petits soins, petits déjeuners top, accès piscine spa du Royal, vélo gratuit, accès au golf de La Baule, au tennis... très bon rapport qualité prix.
