Coral Reef Inn & Condo Suites

Location was great for reaching coffee/dining businesses on Park St.

It’s a bit dated…but that didn’t matter to us. If someone is used to big company hotels, this one may not fit their expectations.

Continental breakfast was fine. Fresh fruit was a nice surprise.

The location

Key cards did not work, they used master key to open door. TVs required staff, no one on property. Mattresses lumpy & noisy all night. Carpet threadbare. Front desk clerk hardly spoke English and had to call mgr. for help. Mgr on phone said “check out & I’ll refund your $” I had no place to go. I’ve stayed here since 2012 and it was never this bad. Maintenance man said 5 to 10 rooms a day key cards don’t work. I left a note and asked for some credit, don’t see it.

The deluxe executive suite was large and comfortable. The view of the estuary from the front window was lovely. We spent an hour or so in the morning just admiring it. It seems that an extended family owns it, and there were many happy children playing in the afternoon/evening. Overnight, all was quiet.

We needed to use the fold out bed in the room. It came partway out, then stuck. We called the office for some help, but no one was available. They moved us into a different room, which worked, except we'd already mostly unpacked, so it was a bit annoying. The refrigerator wasn't cold, so the water I had attempted to chill, wasn't chilled.

The location and conveniency of the shopping center just according the street was the best part of the hotel. we like the convenience of having a full kitchen, and the balcony was a nice touch very private however, it would’ve been nice to have outside furniture to be able to sit out on such a large back balcony patio area..

For a non-smoking room, the room smelled like smoke and an old mildewy smell also the furniture were all pretty much stained chairs, couches towels, curtains, broken lamps, broken out of the six light switches. Only four of them worked TV in the room was poorly placed, and honestly AC in the room did not kick in for a very long time and for having a whole kitchen, the convenience of getting pots pans, dishware utensils was very inconvenient. Toilet seat was also broken and our door barely locked without having to be slammed each time. also, for someone who’s disabled or pregnant, not having elevator really was inconvenient.

this place needs a major overhaul and updating. No lights in our bedroom. Uncomfortable bed. Old carpet
