The Continental Hotel Broome

The pools were fantastic, the rooms were really large and well air-conditioned. The staff were very kind and helpful and we liked that there was an on-site restaurant even though we didn’t use it this visit and an on-site bottle shop.

Proximity to the hospital

It was safe and located in the center.

Not a conveniently full swing hotel set up.

Staff were exceptional. Location was good.

Room wasn’t near clean enough. Yellow stains in bathroom sink waste. General low quality cleanliness. Hole in bathroom flyscreen. Broken chair in living areas. Pieces missing from electronic device on tv and also in bathroom. Dents and rips in both bed lamps. Water pressure in shower was pathetic. Room smelt dank. Everytime we wanted to swim in the pool we had to ring and ask for cushions to be put out in pool area, for daybeds. One day they only put out one cushion so we had to go back to room and ring reception for another cushion. Staff using leaf blowers outside our room at 7:30am! We paid $305 per night for a room. No breakfast included. We also had a “eco green” option apparently, which meant room was not made up at all! We had to ring for new towels etc. there were 3 lights in the stairwell outside our room that flashed all night every night. it was more like a dorm experience than a $300+ room per night. I would not recommend this facility for anything over $150 per night. We also had serious issues booking with Booking.com, so the whole experience was severely tainted.
