Embassy Suites by Hilton Chicago Lombard

Location of the hotel was convenient.

The pool was cloudy and had floating hairball. The bedroom door handle was broken, the kitchen sink didn't work at all. The mattress to the sofa bed was absolutely filthy! It needs to be replaced! The sofa itself was used and flat. It was very hard to be comfortable in such a unkept room.

Nothing.

Front desk staff were extremely rude. Did not greet when approached the desk. Continued to stay on cell phone until I greeted and asked for assistance to check in. Glared at me and my family. Guests were smoking practically inside the lobby. Smoke blew into my face each time I walked by. Door handles were broken inside the hotel room. Room was dirty. Heat didn’t work even when turned up to the max. Emphasis on rude front desk staff. Very disappointing experience.

The oatmeal was water. The juice bar was watered down. Great selection of tires on omlette bar. No bacon or pork sausage just turkey sausage. Pancakes where ok.

The hot tub was my reason for the stay. It was dirty and luke warm. Tiles broken on tub. The property had a rather large crowd present. The kids left pool got in hot tub with me and started launching things in tub including towels. Finally security came up and removed the boys from hot tub. My room was very clean except for vomit in my bedroom by wash sink or in it. The smell was horrible. I advised staff of all of this and was told I booked threw 3rd party or they could make adjustments to just accommodate my dislikes.

Pool was extremely cloudy. Not sure if that meant it was too chlorinated or not enough. But have musty vibes. However we used the pool as that was our main reason for booking - night out with my son for some swimming and hotel fun.

Staff & comfortable room

The location was ideal for us the breakfast was good. My daughter enjoyed the pool area.

The description of the room online stated the room was much bigger than it actually was. The sitting area was extremely small and felt closed in. The AC was blowing cold air all night. I called the front desk and they sent someone up who had to fix something in the service area.
