Red Roof Inn Kimball, TN - I-24

My husband always says you get what you pay for. This was listed at a too good to be true price but we tried it anyway. They are doing what they call remodeling. Did not stop sawing right outside our door til lafter 11pm! Hammering in the room next to us and overhead. It is a no frills motel. No coffeepot, not even a contential breakfast like others. I asked if the pool was open yet and was told no still not because of Covid. Got to the property and there is NO pool at all! So why lie??? Just say no pool on the property! Will NOT stay there again.

The outside compared to some of the other hotels in the area was not very attractive, but the rooms were updated. Had a very low shower head. I’m not tall and had to bend over to wash my hair. Room had an odor, like it may have been a smoking room at one time, but wasn’t real bad. Room was clean and was updated not too long ago. Overall, for the price, I thought it was a good deal.

The room was as described - no frills. There was no ice machine and no breakfast.

Room looks NOTHING like the photos. Chunk s out of the wall, big ceiling cracks where it looks like it’s going to fall on you any moment, floor is super lumpy and uneven, large 1” gap under the door where light, air, and bugs get in, shower wasn’t clean and had hair in it, stains on the bedding, dresser drawers would not stay shut and posed a hazard in the middle of the night if you needed to use the restroom, beds were uncomfortable, no extra security latch just a cheap chain, and the housekeeping tried to open our door without even knocking first! Asked for extra towels and a late check out when the room was booked and got neither.

It was ok being that there wasn’t many places to choose from and it’s very decently priced , during the week .

It was for one night so it was ok, we has no choice, was somewhat clean smelled like basement, bathroom door would not close. Had 2 rooms one was worse than the other, we all slept in our cloths. Never again.

This was the worst experience ever. First of all they were overbooked from Hotels.com so they almost didn’t honor my reservation. All they had was a smoking room rather than nonsmoking as I paid for. They also said Hotels.com undercharged me so I had to pay an additional $37. This would have been unacceptable except I was traveling and it was midnight and this was the last room available in the area. Then, the room was filthy. It smelled bad and the floors felt sticky. It was difficult to sleep because we didn’t feel safe for clean. Finally just got up early in the morning and hit the road. We would have been better off saving my money and trying to sleep in my car at a rest area. Awful.

Horrible management. Charged me an extra $44 a night upon arrival because they PURPOSELY advertise lower rates on 3rd-party websites. He said I had to pay extra or I would lose everything because it was non-refundable. Thankfully, hotels.com responded right away and refunded me the extra charge. Typical motel. Cheap renovations. Very loud location, had to wear headphones all night.

Price was more that what was advertised on Hotels.com had to pay more at check in
