The room was clean and comfortable. Bed and pillow were very comfortable. Breakfast was good with many choices. Staff was on hand to keep things clean and refreshed.

The front desk person did not return my cards after checking in. I did not realize they had not been returned until I was across the country. I wish they would have let me know with a call to my room, a knock on the door or at check out. The good news is the manger of the hotel sent my cards to me with one day express shipping. I was very apprehensive!

This location is in a busy part of Madison, but whatever you want/need from fast and casual restaurants, retail, and services is very close by. Much within walking distance. The hotel and room we had met all of the base criteria you'd expect from a decent hotel. However, for me, the DAILY Manager's Happy Hour for hotel guests 21+ is what bumps this to 5 star status. The hh consists of FREE tap beer, wine, nachos, and popcorn! Again, all FREE and on a daily basis! This was a an amazing bonus.
