Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Knoxville/East

My room was constantly wet feeling. Also, there was a large hole in the wall near my window.

Honestly, a little rough for a Fairfield Inn. Grounds covered with weeds, no AC in the hallways, smell of chlorine in the lobby.

Our room had everything we needed. We stayed for a quick overnight on our way to Gatlinburg.

While lacking in aesthetic qualities, the Fairfield Inn had a friendly and accommodating front desk, easy parking, a Cracker Barrell within walking distance, and clean rooms. I am a bit of a neurotic about cleanliness and I was happy. The drain in the shower was rusting, but the shower itself was spanking clean, which I very much appreciate. And believe it or not, checkout was by 12:00 noon! Never, ever heard of that!

Only 1 person spoke English. The sink in the bathroom was having problems. No air conditioning on the 3rd floor.

It was decent, but the beds were hard. Didn’t know you had to ask for housekeeping, so our towels were not traded out for two days. Asked for housekeeping the third day, and they never came. Breakfast was adequate.

The hotel is okay ...

The staff on the morning we checked out was rude and unprofessional ... she didn't ask the way you should talk to customer/s. She made a scene out of a situation where she didn't even check how and what happened. She just assumed that she was right of what she heard or overheard on the phone when she called and checked on us that morning of us checking out. She needs a customer skills service badly. It doesn't look good to a place like a hotel to put a staff at the front desk, particularly with a trashy attitude. My partner is still not over how she talked to him that morning. She should not have talked the way she did if she was professional enough to handle the situations. Too bad we don't remember and / or we didn't check her name. But the HR should be able to trace or check who was on duty in the morning of Saturday, July 5, 2025, around 12 noon. We look forward to hearing a just report about the incident. Thank you 💓 ... P.S We will never go back to the same place anymore and we will share our bad experienced. .

There was roaches in the bathroom. The shower had almost no water pressure. When we got to the hotel to check in no one was at the desk. I rang the bell and no one came. I wait a few minutes then started walking around. The receptionist came out from the back room on her cell phone. She had me reswipe my card although I had paid online. The amount she had me pay was about 40 more than what I had paid at bookin. Once we noticed the price difference I went back to the desk ask and she was mia again. When she finally came to the desk and I asked about the additional charges without even looking anything up all she said was the additional charges were for incidentals. I mentioned to her that we were not from the area and she was t even willing to give suggestions on where to eat or if there was anything for us to do.
