The Malone Hotel

De var meget imødekommende, da vi klagede og den ulækker lejlighed. Vi fik meget hurtig et super dejlig værelse. Personalet super søde

Vi fik først en muggen lejlighed som også lugtede fælt.

Helpful staff, Clean facility

Lovely hotel, friendly welcome. Within easy walking distance from the City Centre. Nice terrace for drinks and a great breakfast offering. We thoroughly enjoyed that. Unfortunately though, our room was so hot, even with the window open all night, we slept very badly. I was lying awake at 5am wondering if I should take a cold shower - it really was that hot and stuffy. I did have an ice cold shower a little later but we couldn't wait to get out of the room to be honest. We did mention it at check out and we were told a lot of people say that and they do have fans, but beyond that there's nothing they can do. I strongly advised that they put a fan in the room we had vacated. Guests shouldn't be expected to go to reception in the middle of the night to ask if there are fans. In truth, I couldn't consider staying between May-Sep. I might consider The Malone for a stay in Winter.

Our room was too warm, even with the window open all night. We slept really poorly. I was wondering if I should take a cold shower at 5am - it was honestly that bad. Couldn't wait to leave. We did mention it on check out and it was agreed that people often say this. In all other respects, it's a lovely hotel but I couldn't stay again.

The hotel was in a great location, clean, great facilities

But the room smelt badly of drains; we reported this to staff upon checking out as we were only staying one night. We’d have liked a kettle instead of a coffee maker using pods, as we wanted tea.

The hotel itself is beautiful. We stayed in the executive room and it was comfortable and clean. Lovely coffee machine. The staff was so friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. The hotel was so clean and comfortable.

We had to find a parking place along the road which we had to wait around for but it was free. The breakfast was very expensive. Also no non alcoholic wine or drinks unless you ordered a cocktail. Also we booked a room for 4 adults and a child but they wouldn't allow a fifth person in the room so an extra room had to be booked, yet when we got into the room it had a double bed and two beds that could easily have catered for an adult and a child. The hotels in the USA always allow this which keeps the costs down. A put you up bed would have even worked as the room was spacious enough.
