Grand Hotel Beijing

Amazing view and good hotel service. The hotel doorman Mr. Guo was nice and friendly.

Requested nonsmoking room but room smelled badly of smoke. Asked to change room but then received one with two small beds instead of a king (I was travel solo)

My stay in the hotel was amazing.

Old fashioned 5 star hotel, still nice though. Good for the great location, cleanliness, and comfort rooms.

Great hotel, excellent locations, two blocks from forbidden city and two blocks from real Chinese market and also malls.

WiFi was terrible, bed was hard, room was a outdated and carpet old and dirty. Besides that Excellent location, nice bathroom, and nice view from room.

WiFI was not good, dropped out constantly. Was the same when I stayed last time. Western breakfast was okay but not great.

The hotel was amazingly situated within a 10 minute walk to Tienenman Square and Forbidden City. We selected a family suite as I was traveling with my parents and wanted to have separate sleeping areas for some privacy. The "suite" was indeed a one bedroom suite, but they added a second bed in the actual living room space. It not only made the space cramped, but obviously did not provide any privacy either. The decor was very dated and the bathroom door would not close so you either had to try and hold it closed or slide a stool in front of it to keep it closed while using. With a little updating this could be an amazing hotel based on its location, but as is was a disappointment.

I have been staying at this hotel on several occasions. The higher floors ( 8 and 9) offer a great view of the Forbidden City and this is the only place that you can see the sun setting over FC and T Square. The hotel is dated and needs a huge lifting.
