Amazing location friendly staff

Hotel was under construction, horrible bathroom. Remodeled bate room had a soap metal holder that you will hit with your body every time you would take a shower. Horrible

Enjoyed our stay, beautiful hotel!

Room couldn’t get cool enough. The conditioning didn’t function well. The technician brought us up a fan and that helped a bit. Also, the mattress was uncomfortable.

It's great to see this old hotel be revived by Marriott. Great location on the Gold Coast, really nice and helpful staff, and our king room was nicely appointed; including a Nespresso machine and fridge. There's a Starbucks across the street and a breakfast-all-day restaurant on the next block. Their own restaurant in-building looked good too. They're still finishing the renovation on the lower floors and we are looking to coming back to see the new look/feel.

I stay here once a month for work purposes and have to say location and amenities are amazing. Easy location to walk to - starbucks , restaurants etc. The staff here is accommodating and so friendly. Special shoutout to Amanda, Ben and Taylor for taking such great care of me this trip ! Definitely recommend to families and business professionals. The new RENO looks great!

Bed was amazing, staff for hotel and bar were very friendly, really nice stay but possibly the worst hotel gym I have ever used. The gym is in the dungeon basement and very small, 1 treadmill only, very limited. Stayed from Saturday to Monday, cheap parking not using the valet service is close.

The Talbott is in a great location, has a lot of character, and provided a spacious, comfortable, and clean room. There was a fair bit of construction which limited a lot of the lobby's services and the elevator interiors are quite beat up, but the rooms were recently upgraded and felt quite fresh and new. Aside from the aesthetic element, which was easy to tune out, it was a very relaxing stay. My king room was large and comfortable, it was quiet and the depth of the room tuned out all the hallway noise typical of hotels. Like most hotels its age it had ample natural light, but the view was largely of a brick wall across a court yard, as is also standard on old buildings. The bathroom was recently renovated as well and very clean. The room service provided an excellent breakfast and would recommend it. The gym was not updated as recently, but has a peloton bike, it was quite private, although the water didn't work, so best to bring your own until that it repaired. I plan on staying here again, it's central and fairly safe, close to shops and walkable to a lot of attractions.

Don't stay at this hotel. I had to due to a last minute work trip. I've stayed 100s of nights in Chicago - never this hotel. There's no point explaining because clearly the owner and the staff are indifferent. The front desk are a blight on the Marriott brand. Atrocious. Do not stay here. There are so many excellent choices in town if you're loyal to the brand
