Super 8 by Wyndham Fredericksburg

Great price and excellent location right off Rt 95. Staff was super friendly, and room was very clean.

Breakfast was pretty weak.

Check in was easy and straightforward. Ample parking. Beds were comfortable.

The room was not very clean. Mold in shower. Stains on chairs, etc. Door doesn't have a threshold or flap to keep noise out... it was very loud with commotion in the parking lot, other rooms, etc. Although advertised as "breakfast included" there was nothing in the lobby that could remotely qualify as breakfast. No manager on site to resolve issues at the times we needed assistance.

Ok, it is what it is... I wasn't expecting much but, I was pleasantly surprised. You can tell it was recently remodeled and upgraded. It was clean, the sheets, the towels, pillow cases, bathroom, refrigerator, (I really mean it was spotless, no bugs or stains etc.). It was comfortable, ample room, great value, and a new Sheetz next door. Across the street is the "Bearded Monkey" The staff are great!!! The property is secure. Plenty of parking. Parking lot and lobby were clean too (that shows pride). The property managers are doing a super job with and older property. A++++ job!!!!! thank you.

The room (3005) smelled of cat pee. I have cats and I can say it was really bad. I went to Sheetz and got a car air freshener and put on the AC. Was good to go after that. I didn't have time to ask to change rooms but I know they would have if asked because they seem to care about their property. I didn't have time on check out to, either, to let them know of the smell issue. I'm sure they will address it, because they seem to genuinely care.
