Elegant Apartment Royal Castle

The location is superb and very convenient to various locations in the old town.

The stairways from the main door to the unit is very very dark and besides eerie, it's a safety hazard as we can't even see the steps on the staircase. The unit was not very clean with visible cobweb at certain corners of the apartment. The whole apartment was very dated and not well kept especially on its cleanliness. I hope the owner can rectify the dark stairway especially on safety concern. Thank you

Placed in the center of old town.

We arrived at an apartment that smelled of sewage. The floor was very worn, and overall the apartment appeared quite run-down. The small kitchen was very old. The apartment was supposed to be suitable for up to 4 people, but we were only 2 friends and had stated that we wanted to sleep separately. The sofa was very hard and not suitable for sleeping on without a mattress. We called the host but never received a mattress. We were told that the service staff only worked until 4 PM. The ironing board fell apart, and the floor hadn’t been vacuumed. There was absolutely nothing elegant or luxurious about the apartment.

Location was great, also price was reasonable.

Firstly, the "communication" with owner was awful. He didn’t answer my messages, which I send through sms and even WhatsApp. Next, the WiFi wasn’t working, until we figured it out (plus the name and password were uncorrect.) The heating system was almost unbearable, we weren’t able to lower the temperature, so the apartment got hot pretty fast. We also had problem with bathroom. The bathtub was kinda dirty, sink was clogged and there were just empty bottles of shampoo and shower gel. Lastly, the TV was listed as "smart TV”, which wasn’t completely true, since you can watch only polish channels.

The location was perfect. In the middle of the old town, very touristic places. It was so crowded and loud from street.

Towels were not clean and had marks on them. Tap water smells so bad which made it so difficult to stay in the bathroom. It was difficult to go upstairs with luggage, no lift.

Location was OK, there was no breakfast.

One of the windows cannot been open. Separate bed linen for the sofa that we asked for in a separate message to the host was not prepared. In result my friend an 82-aged woman from Paris slept without the bedsheet on a blanket. Our Polish friends came to meet us, but there weren't enough glasses. WIFI network has not been turned on and despite our complaint has not appeared till our check-out. The host explanation was that the previous guests have reset the router. Even if it was so why the wifi has not been checked before. It would be better if the hosts recollect the requests of their guests and do not write that we have not asked for it. In result, we had to check our cprrespondence and send it as a proof of our words. All that is inappropriate. we will return on 28 June because we had booked the apt beforehand and we will see.
