The Bodhi Tree Karimunjawa

The location is in the middle of the town, very easy to find restaurants, coffee shops, also very near to the harbor. The staff wa very helpful, and very good atmosphere. I love the plants 😊

Perfect location (close to fish market, restaurants, port for snorkling, and walking distance to ferry). The decoration and aura of the place is very nice : bottom common room and top terrace. Very good vibe ! Dormitory beds are pretty confy with privacy, and closed lockers. AC in the room (very welcome !). Stylish large bathrooms. Staff very reactive on whatsapp and helpful.

Barely saw the staff there (but they answered on whatsapp). Never saw breakfast whatever the time. Staff not very reliable (they had confirmed twice to pick me up for ferry on my last day and forgot to warn me the person that was supposed to come was not available anymore, fortunately i asked the night before if all was ok, otherwise i would have missed my ferry). Not enough space to hang drying clothes for everybody...

In the village, near alun alun

miss: floor squeegee for shower to evacuate water and have floor dry faster. No upper bedsheet. Bathroom would benefit a lot of a vinegar scrub to clean mineral deposits. It would be good to have more documentation on available activities and not just snorkelling day tour. Also, I asked for help to book online ferry (Indonesian bank requirement) and was refused, not sure why.

The AC didn‘t work properly & plenty of mosquitos in the room.

The hostel is lovely - beautifully designed and comfortable. Our room had a sweet outdoor bathroom which was a nice touch. Staff was excellent: super friendly and very helpful in getting bikes and scooter arranged for exploring the island

Common spaces were pretty dirty, especially the communal kitchen. Could use a weekly deep clean by staff and a list of clear expectations for guests to clean up after themselves in the kitchen. Buggy, though bug spray and nets were provided and helped :)

The hotel has a good location, it is very central, Laila, the manager, is very helpful, just a little more cleaning inside the bathrooms, everything else is perfect.

The Bodhi tree is a chill hostel. The staff is friendly and very helpful. They even taught me how to ride a scooter.

Great place to discover the island. They rent scooters so it's really handy. The staff is really helpful and the place is beautiful and chill. Thanks again for a wonderful stay.
