DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Philadelphia Center City

Had a great stay at the Hilton Doubletree in Center City Philadelphia. The staff was great, the rooms were clean and well appointed and the location of the hotel is superb...walking distance to everything. Our booking was quite complicated with need for adjoining rooms and our plans changed last minute, and the manager, Serkan, was incredibly helpful and accommodating. Would absolutely stay here again!

The hotel was very clean, staff was friendly and it was a great location.

Sadly, what gives it a low rating was how a situation of loud guests was handled. We were up until 3am, listening to security fight with guests who were being too loud. They can up 3 times banging on their door, and the people continued to fight with staff. They should’ve been kicked out of the hotel, instead of being aloud to argue. We came along way, to not sleep all night. It was very disappointing. Shower was also broken.

Location

Advertised as having a swimming pool and arrived to find out it was closed permanently. One of the main reasons I booked the hotel. The breakfast was not of good quality and when ordering not from the buffet took too long. The rooms are out of date, the shower handle was hard to use, and overall the hotel needs updating, or the price lowering!

Facility is a little dated, but the comfort and location are the best attributes.

Location

Check in was a 20 min wait bc only one person checking people in. I left the line after 20 mins. Came back an hour later and line was longer. 25 min line to check in now. Room was clean but toilet ran all night. I had to get up and fit it every time it was used all night long. I think this was a known problem n. Someone was complaining about it and switched out of a room while I was in check out line. Instead of fixing it, they reassigned the room to us. I complained the next morning and got 5000 points. I don’t feel this was a fair compensation. The room was expensive and didn’t deliver a good nights sleep.
