Pacific Spirit Hostel

Very happy with my stay. Extended because it was very clean. Easy checkin and checkout. Very friendly and capable staff.

Small room, bed somewhat comfortable. Building and rooms are clean. Reception staff polite, courteous and efficient. Wish there was a hair dryer. Be aware rooms have no AC - my room was like a sauna upon check in. Opening window helps a bit but still so warm my chocolate bar melted!

I would recommend Pacific Spirit for any type of stay, convenient and comfortable .

Put on your walking shoes! You need a car or else it's a 15 minute walk to the bus terminal at UBC. Very Spartan room with no conveniences which are shared but clean. Bring some breakfast food as the campus restaurants don't open until 8am. There are plenty of buses but you need an hour to get into the city. Early risers can use the 24 hour McDonald's on campus but an18 minute walk away. There are many great walking and biking paths in and around the city.ppp

This an affordable option for a short stay. The university grounds are beautiful. Very easy to access Wreck Beach and city buses. Tons of hot water available. Kettle, toaster, fridge and microwave in the kitchen. Lots of restaurants, yoga studio, gym close by. However the markets are very expensive so you’ll want to pick up any groceries at a proper grocery store.

On campus, clean, quiet, safe

I needed affordable, long term, on campus to be close to classes, and it was so enjoyable. The property checked off all my needs, and because of that I did not leave the property on weekends for hotels because it was the quiet serenity where I was. 10/10.

Bel endroit, beaucoup de verdure. Plage à proximité. Plusieurs services sur le campus. Un peu loin du centre et sans climatisation

I personally like its proximity to the beach, and it being at UBC meant more secluded and quieter space, away from the hustle and bustle of downtown. Amenities were really nice, though they ran out of hand soap in 2 of their sinks in the washroom. Common dining hall is quite small.
