Good place

Great place for economic short visits. ~$100 CAD per day. Located in UBC campus its a good safe place. I will definitely visit again.

It's a student dorm. That being said, it's clean and tidy (maybe too tidy, and minimalist).

Among all my travels, this was the first time staying in a hostel. The UBC grounds are spectacular. I definitely will be coming back.

The room was very cozy, fully furnished - which helped organize my stuff in it. There was room for luggage, clothes, things, and for me to roam around. Bed mattress is on the hard side - which I really appreciate. Full back support. Linen was clean and staff were very accommodating. Note that there is no actual kitchen and one will not be able to cook for themselves. The food places around the near area are not the cheapest - but there is a Tim in the area. The area is beautiful University of BC. If you stay there, please find a day to just visit the various public buildings, the architecture is stunning and worth the visit. There is a local bar with a good happy hour at the AMS student nest, if you don't want to go too far for a drink. Sunsets are gorgeous as well, and there is a beach just a walk and a long staircase away. The only thing I'd change would be maybe putting some paper towels in the kitchenette area, and having some kind of curfew so people don't keep talking on the phone when someone is trying to sleep. It was a private room, but you could hear everything from other rooms, fyi if you are someone who talks - be mindful. Otherwise it was perfect. Thank you dear crew at the reception, and dear housekeeping team that made the visit comfortable.

Loved the area, shared spaces cleaned daily, transit was converted. Definitely going to stay again next year.
