Rodeway Inn Leesburg Chain of Lakes

The desk ladies were very nice and professional. The room was musty. The phone was dirty and sticky. There was some substance stuck to the wall next to the headboard. There was dirt built up in the corners of the bathroom. Sand in the bed.

This motel is a $50 a night motel not $80. It smells musty and the rooms have roaches. The bedding is stained and has cigarette burns on it. Motel needs serious upgrades.

When I stayed the Wifi didn’t work, only one lamp worked in my room, the ac unit stopped around 7pm and didn’t turn on when I switched it to low temperature and the lights in the walkway which are left on all night and shines in the room.

For the price it was decent. The room was clean and there’s free WiFi. The bed was comfortable also. It’s a decent room for the price you pay. Also, there’s apparently a $100 deposit, which isn’t clearly stated anywhere when you make a reservation. But they let me do a $25 deposit instead since I didn’t have an extra $100. So that was nice.

The staff was very rude. There was a young black woman and she was very nice. But the manager or owner, whoever it was, he was rude. I booked 2 nights but I booked them separately, I couldn’t afford to pay for both at the same time and the reservation was pay at check in so I didn’t have to pay until I checked in. I stayed the 1st night and everything was fine. A few hours after I checked out, my card was charged for the 2nd night, at 2 pm before I could even check in. Thankfully I had my card locked, so it couldn’t overdraft since I didn’t have the money. I called and the guy on the phone tried to blame booking.com. But booking.com clearly states they do not deal with payments, only the property does. When I went there later he again blamed booking.com and acted like I was stupid when I tried explaining there was no reason my card should have been charged. He lied over and over again about trying to charge my card. He did not have my authorization to do so, and since my card denied the payment, my reservation was cancelled. Which was fine, because I went somewhere else. He was very rude and I’m pretty sure him charging my card prior to me checking in is illegal. He’s lucky the money didn’t come out cuz I would have raised hell if it did. So I don’t recommend anyone reserving a room through a 3rd party bc he might illegally try to charge you before you even check in. Also, they require a $100 deposit when you stay, but it’s not clearly stated anywhere on the reservation and I don’t even remember where I found it, but they did allow me to only pay $25 for the deposit so that’s good I guess. I still don’t recommend booking a reservation in advance, esp not thru a 3rd party. He tried using that as an excuse as to why my card was charged- something about him having to pay commission for the reservation, and again blamed booking.com for the charge on my card.

Has a swimming pool.

The people that worked there was friendly and very curious . I have a good location .

We got there late. the toilet did not work right and there was no one there after 10:00 to help us.
