Villare Leicester City Centre hotel

The location is fab. I’ve stayed twice before when visiting my daughter at uni to see her perform at Haymarket theatre. Parking in the Rooftop car park for £6 for 24 hours.

Arrived to check in on top floor. Room on level 1 requested a bigger room as with my son who is 6ft 3 so paid a supplement. The room was not really clean, no toilet roll and lots of dirty glasses outside the room. Had to go back up to reception to ask for toilet roll and report the glasses. Then found a side drawer full of condoms and lubricant. Dirty dusty table. Lights and power sockets not working and just a very tired room. The hotel is opposite the main square with loud music and our room was facing out to this and above a noisy bar which went in till 4am. Then the road sweepers started…. Absolutely no sleep!

I didn't end staying overnight as it was so bad and not worth the money! Stains on the sheets, room smelled on entered and not 100% clean. It was also very noisy facing out to the public area across the road showing World Cup matches. I had to ring a mobile to get attention at reception and one of the staff was lazing on the balcony on a loud video call with no attempt to help anyone waiting at reception. Dreadful place. I do not recommend!

Friendly staff, clean, spacious will be back again.
